Hello everyone,

Due to some last minute packaging changes / upgrades, we are having to postpone the unveiling of the new system.

We apologize for this delay, but we look forward to sharing this exciting new system with you as soon as possible.

In addition, for those of you who will be attending NACE and SEMA beginning 10/31, make sure and stop by our booth to see it in person.

Sure does not make much sense at all. On page 13 it was stated we would know by 9/22 at noon SHARP! Well I cant believe at the last minutes on 9/22 a few hours before it was supose to be announced someone decided to do a last minute package change / upgrade to it.
It could at lease be explained on what the new products or systems is, or did the whole system change now too??

If this is a joke, its a good one.. If its the truth, its a let down. Will not stop me from using Megs but slowing make me loose faith in there words!

Boy isn't that the truth!! Last minute changes? How could that be..you would think they would be all ready to ship since today is the unveiling. And changes like packaging and upgrades for all the products already made would cost thousands....again, loosing faith in what is being said in this thread...What's funny is it was started with the scrambled picture for us to try and guess what it is..and I dont even think they know what it is yet!

That does not bother me if its not going to be ready to ship once they release what it is. I just cant believe they can not tell what it is due to a product change/upgrade. The change/upgrade makes that much of a difference it cant be told what it is. Not too many companies I deal with tell you on a specific date they have a product coming out and then a few hours before tell you we have a product change/upgrade so we can not tell you for another month. This is a new one for me. I will have to remember this. Clever!

Some people can be pretty fair weather fans... jeeze...

I think Meguiar's should learn a valuable lesson from this thread. Never announct the up comming arrival of a new product. Just do it when its ready. People dont realize just how large of a company Meguiar's is, and sometime stuff happens when a proudct needs to be re-vamped or re-packaged. Give them some slack, just because something gets delayed you shouldn't lose loyalty or distrust them, how shallow is that? Meguiar's doesn't want to put out a lacking product so they spend the extra time, even if it means delyaing a launch of a major line, so they can get it right the first time, not have to fix it through custom complaints. Thats why this is such a great company, and some people cannot see that.

What happened if Meguiar's decided to re-name a product right before production? They wouldn't want to confuse the common forum passer-by. For example. I'm sure there only a handful of people who know that NXT Tech Protect has two names. If I asked for Cockpit Shine, I bet theres only a dozen or so people who would have known what I was talking about.

Yes, some unexpected changes have occurred that will delay the announcement, but the big picture is a more perfect system.

It's not the direction we planned, and it's not the direction we stated, but alas it's the position were in today and we decided that at this point in time honesty is the best policy and at this time we can move forward with the announcement of the new system. Everyone involved with this project feel very bad about not being able to announce this today and we can assure you we are watching this thread and taking note of your comments as well as others. That said, we're hoping you'll give us the benefit of the doubt and hang tight for now.

You've been giving hints here and there through this whole thread. Any chance we could at least get another hint while we wait patiently? I'm also slightly confused as to why you couldn't go ahead and announce the product and just state that it will be released on X number of days/weeks/months. In any case, a hint would get me by for now.

Some companies work hand in hand with the very customers who buy their products and tell them what is in the works. But why is it that this system cannot even me explained so we know what to look forward to. I just don't see what harm can come from informing us or how a system can be re-vamped hours before the "unveiling"

I seriously am still not convinced that it's not a joke. The announcement wasn't suppossed to happen for another 1 1/2 hours was it? Oh, well. It's not like any of us are hurting on good quality Meguiars products while we're waiting.

I did some searching and found out this:

Due to recent changes, this new product line will be announced at NACE.

NACE 2006 Conference: November 1-4 (Wednesday - Saturday)

So it looks like we wont know untill november 1st.
