    I'm about to drive back home, so I won't be able to reply to this thread for the rest of the night.

    To steveo3002 and Paramedic: "old friends don't screw you over".

    What??!?!?!?!? How in the world has Meguiar's "messed" you over??? Have then stopped your mode of work? Have they purposefully lied to you??? Have they come to your house, knocked on your front door, and punched you in the mouth as soon as you opened up???? Come on, how many times have you seen Meguiars bend over backwards to help a customer. The customer service thread on this forum NEVER ceases to amaze me. I had the stitches on one side of an Even-Coat applicator come loose one time, and they over-nighted me 2 new ones. As in the next I had them. Who else does that for you in this business???? Who???

    Paramedic, if I recall correctly, you have a VERY SHARP '99-'02 Silverado (lifted correctly, beautiful black, etc....) Did Meguiars mess you over when they made the paint look better than 99% of the vehicles you on the road or at the show??? No sir they didn't.


    Can't believe some of the responses to this accident.

    Mike, might outta consider closing this one down for awhile.

          We wouldn't give you the pleasure. However remember the forum rules, no bashing people and no bashing companies and that includes Meguiar's.

          In the movie Bambie, Thumper taught us that if you don't have anything nice to say, then don't say anything at all.

          Here on Meguiar's Online, we don't ban anyone, you ban yourself by breaking the forum rules. No don't go and break the rules any more Steve or we'll show you the door.

              Man, some of you guys act like its the end of the world. Right now my Trailblazer looks great without any new products. I'm watching the Ryder Cup. Waiting for the new SCG Rotary DVD. Going to play golf tomorrow, want to do really good, but won't, and it won't kill me. Going on vacation in 2 weeks and if a hurricane hits the Outer Banks, that will kill me.
              Life is short, enjoy it while you can! You know the old saying " Stuff happens deal with it".

                Now come on Mike. How can I be a Teaching Assistant, telling my students that if they don't meet deadlines in real life...(you know how it goes) and then have them read this.

                Mcquire, has the right idea! But, I must admit a new Meguiar's product is definitely exciting for me; one must remember-good things are worth waiting for.

                  I agree, hype can be detrimental to any product. There will be a backlash among some users from this incident and Meguiar's can only blame themselves for this. They built the hype, gave users a date, and didn't deliver. Now why the reasons for the delay may be valid, the reasons for the gripes are valid as well.

                    LOL, it's Friday afternoon and I had my outlook alert to come check the new product and I find this thread.

                    What's the big deal?

                    I am at work, I have a detail to do when I leave here, then two more over the weekend. In between those details I will spend some quality time with my wife and our son--life is good. Let's focus on the *really* important things in life--like the 68 charger I am detailing in the morning.

                    It's really a non-issue. The product will come out in due time.

                      C'mon Mike, do you really have to go there? This is Meguiar's doing. You guys did bring this on yourselves. You've built up expectations and didn't fulfill them. I'm not saying you won't ever fulfill them 'cause I know in time you will, but you have to understand that there were quite a few posters anticipating this day and time for quite a while, only to be let down. I'm sure you guys expected a backlash of sorts and IMHO, it is well deserved.

                      Ban me if you like but that is my honest opinion.

                        That's a very good point and on a personal note I would just like to point out that this was a corporate decision and my job is to facillitate that decision and then do my best to answer questions that arise, which I'm trying to do right now with temperence and restrain.

                              We understand the frustration this was going to cause, and as long as you don't break any of the forum rules there will be no need to ban anyone.

                              Venting and discussing your frustration is perfectly okay, but no one should push it to the point of bashing.
