    They don't have to send the product out to market. They can show/tell us what it is. Happens every time in the automotive industry.

      True, unless its not doing what they are claiming or what the product was intended to do or something along those lines. Who knows!?!

          I think his idea was to allow some time to go by so that people could think before they posted.

            Well I've had time to think about this during the day and now coming back to the thread to see this post...It seems like Meguiars is showing *their* true colors. I've heard plenty of complaints of Meguiars Customer Service, I've dealt with their customer service on the phone telling me I had to wait for my order another 2 weeks failing to contact me and telling me this..guess they were just going to wait until I called..and now the comments made by admins here who are supposedly here to "help" us.

            I'm sorry but you guys brought this on yourselves and I think people will add this to their reasons why maybe not to deal with Meg's directly but just buy from other distributors. I don't need to be nice to buy Meg. products and I'm not going to kiss butt like other users here.

            I'm sorry but if these end up being 4" pads like others said, there's nothing ground breaking about that and I'll continue to use other vendors after this.

              We are not 'kissing butt' we understand how things can happen out of our control and out of their control. It happens and its not the end of the world.

                I hate when people complain about things that aren't a big deal. (had to rephrase due to it not being appropriate for the forum)

                But seriously, it's not a big deal, I was looking forward to the new product line too, just because people have recognized that there was a little mistake and aren't being anal about it doesn't mean they're kissing butt.

                    I would not kiss butt, but I do apreciate Meguiar's. I enjoy thier products. I enjoy thier classes. I enjoy this forum and the people on it. I am certianly not going to eat thier lunch over one missed product anouncement.

                    They dont owe me anything for being thier customer. If anything I owe them for the wealth of information they share with me freely and patence they give me when I have questions.

                      Yes, I don't quite follow some of the posts which indicate that they expected to be ordering these products tonight. SEMA is usually the introduction for next year's products, which would usually go on sale in January or later.

                      IIRC previous forum announcements have been just before SEMA, so I don't know why this one was "pre-announced" to be announced before the er...usual announcements.

                        What others fail to realize is that those of us complaining, are not complaining about the product not being announced, but the manner in which it was conducted.

                              I'm sorry but you are in no position to talk like the world revolves around you. This isn't a matter of kissing butt either. Its a matter of maturity. Some people are so shallow that they think just because a company delays a release date "OMG I HATE THIS STUFF." The reason I perfer meguair's is their exceptional customer service and products. Not because I want to **** up or kiss butt. I have spent over $1000 in car detailing products, and not becuase I want to kiss butt.

                              Name me a major company thats never had to push back a release date, and I'll show you the meaning of life.

                              I, in all honesty, hope you think about what your saying and how your trying to throw dirt on the countance of a very long standing, family operated company, and realize that your completly wrong.
