:p i don't get what the big fuss is all about.. sure i was looking forward to this, but if they say it will make the final product better, I will wait. Don't we all already have enough Meguiar's to last us until they tell us what the new stuff is?


I agree with most peoples comments on how meguiar's shouldn't have waited until the last minute, but "Stuff" happens. I am sure that everyone on this forum has been late or dissapointed somebody else atleast once in their life. I think everyone should take a and enjoy the rest of the day!

since I am new to the site I have all kinds of new products that I have never used or even known the were out there, and how to use them properly, thanks to all here who have shown there great work with meguires products and I like these little guys

There are greater tragedies in life, and I'm sure everyone agrees that getting upset over this is very silly however I feel that the ones who are dissapointed at how this was handled and expressing their opinions are getting bashed by the "calm down people its not a big deal" members. These are the comments that are blowing things out of proportion.

How do you feel cheated? You haven't paid any money toward this mystery product so it's not as though Meguiar's has failed to deliver upon their side of some mytholigcal contract with you.

So many mixed opinions here... i just think its more so the principle. you say one thing and another gets done. kinda like when you take your car to the mechanic, they say it will be done by the end of the day. now how does everyone feel when at the end of the day the mechanic calls and says well its not done, hopefully tomorrow ? if the mechanic called me at noon and said it looks like more work and i want to make it right so give me another day its cool. but to call me last minute when i think my car in this case the "NEW PRODUCT" is done i find out it needs more time. i am sure everyone can relate. i just think a new product announcement should be made when a product is complete and ready to be announced and sold.

I couldn't agree more with this statement. I work at a job where frustration really comes into play and it's hard to restrain how you feel at times. Looking back you usually find that maybe you were acting on emotion and maybe didn't' choose the most objective way to handle the matter. I find that if I let it "digest" for a while, then I become more civil and level minded when it comes to expressing myself. Having said that, I am disappointed that nothing is being release today, does this mean I need to get a life? Maybe... Seriously, most of my detailing arsenal is Meguiars and I will still use their products and still enjoy this forum, that hasn't changed. These decisions were made by the company and Mike and others have to support them, bottom line. I don't agree with the way they handeled it, but that's the way it is!

Sure does not make much sense at all. On page 13 it was stated we would know by 9/22 at noon SHARP! Well I cant believe at the last minutes on 9/22 a few hours before it was supose to be announced someone decided to do a last minute package change / upgrade to it.
It could at lease be explained on what the new products or systems is, or did the whole system change now too??

If this is a joke, its a good one.. If its the truth, its a let down. Will not stop me from using Megs but slowing make me loose faith in there words!

I can't tell if you're serious or not. I can't believe you are complaining over a few hours. At least it isn't some Gran Turismo 4 BS where they delay the game for months, say it's going to be released and when the time is coming up, they push it back more. New product announcement doesn't have to be explained, key word is new and announcement.

Normally, Meguiar's doesn't introduce new products until SEMA, which is when? That's right, November! So you gotta wonder about the early buildup, but hey that's marketing!

No sense really following this thread for another five weeks just to read about more speculation.

What's the huge deal, y'all? Meg's is still a SUPERB company, and every company makes mistakes sometimes! Have you never made a mistake in your life, that you can make such a stink when Meg's messes up?

well said... like mentioned by others I would guess they have been working day and night to fix the 'problem' and get the product out. I am sure they have put a lot of time and money into the system and would like to get it out on the market asap. I think its great Meguiars stepped up and said we are not quite ready... its better then sending a product out that's not up to their standards.

I, too, was really looking forward to today's announcement and the big reveal. Sure, I'm a bit disappointed that it's been delayed, but disappointment comes in varying degrees and in the overall scheme of life.... this was a pretty minor disappointment!! My bigger disappointment is that I just found out about some potential mandatory meetings at work during the last week of October, so I might not be able to attend SEMA after all. But even that is pretty minor compared to serious stuff in life.

In the mean time my car still looks pretty damn terrific all covered in that "old" Meguiar's stuff, so who's to complain???
