If you ask me it is truely pure B.S. there is no way a product all of the sudden 2 hrs before release is canceled out to a later date. now i love meguiars but what i see here is just a big hype for a product so everyone gets all excited to buy some stuff from megs and then it gets pushed back. i think its all a great marketing system to keep the people on demand for meguiars. sorry for my rant but this is like just teasing the public.

You didn't think they were going to show up to SEMA empty handed did you? I love the Meguiars company(truly the best and most accomodating customer service in the industry) as a whole, and I love many of their products(I absolutely hate others) but stunts like this really put me off from continuing to buy and recomend their products. Let us not forget the lesson Lab Sample D taught us, no matter how good the product actually is, if the hype is built up beyond expecatitions, the product can never live up to the demand the hype created.

Something like this does more harm than good for Meguiar’s and I’m sure they know that. I’m sure they did everything that they could to release this on time. I’m still more than happy with everything they have out know, so I’ll just stick with what’s out now till something better comes out. There’s nothing wrong with what’s on the market now. I was very excited to see what was coming out, but oh well (stuff happens).

agreed gbuckas.like all the car companies hype up a car and keep pushing back the release date then do it at a show to attract a big audience and market for it. i agree i love megs products and cust service but it just gets under my skin with stunts like this.

Guys, I think it stinks that we're not hearing the latest news as promised too... but those of you who think this is some sort of publicity stunt really need to put away the tinfoil helmets for a second.

It's highly unlikely that the problem(s) that prevented them from making the announcement cropped up a mere hour or two before the scheduled unveiling. Chances are, they have known about the problems for a while now and have been working dilligently to try and resolve them so that they could make the announcement as promised.

Sometimes what can go wrong will go wrong and deadlines get missed. It's just the way life goes.

Oh well, guess I'll just have to wait a little longer then. As someone said, it's not like I'm without sufficient product to do whatever job I might need to do. Besides, it's been raining all day here.

Come on guys, just keep on and be . My day hasn't been ruined by this [B]accident[B], and I doubt yours has either. Meguiar's is like an old friend to me, and I know I'd give an old friend the benefit of the doubt anytime they needed it.

Can't say I am real thrilled about waiting over another month. I've been patiently waiting for this to come out to make another sizeable purchase. Guess I will spend my money elsewhere....

I don't get why people are making such a big deal over this. How about everyone take a chill-pill. I mean, if this is really some all new revolutionalry-never-seen-before system then you're not really missing anything since you'ld be in the same boat if meguiar's wasn't around or never invented it in the first place. On the other hand, if this is just a better mousetrap then you still won't be missing anything because if you really needed whatever it was you would already have it -- just from another company. There is also a good chance that you will discover once you find out what this new system is, that it's not that different from what you are already doing and that it may not be worth the upgrade (windows vista anyone?).

I think it's ok to be excited about something but there's no reason to start getting negative about it. I think the fine folks at meguiar's were just trying to get us to have fun speculating what it is (which for the most part it has been), but why all the negativity. I'm sure they are more disappointed then you are. If Meguiar's can't sell whatever it is, then they also can't make any money off of it either.

I'm pretty positive this "delay" was known prior to today's date. I think waiting until TODAY (the day we all have anticipated) to break the news is just plain WRONG.

This is like telling your kids a couple weeks in advance that the family is going to Disney World for the weekend and then find out DAYS before that its not possible and then waiting the DAY OF to say "sorry kids, we aren't going today, we're going in a few more weeks". Can you see their happy faces?

I agree with what another member said about a valuble lesson to Meguiars. Don't EVER do this again.

With that being said, I'm still a Meguiars fan and will continue buying their products.

What's the huge deal, y'all? Meg's is still a SUPERB company, and every company makes mistakes sometimes! Have you never made a mistake in your life, that you can make such a stink when Meg's messes up?

Keep up the awesome work, Meguiar's, and I'll be looking forward to the new product!
