    Hey everyone,

    I think we all need to step back and put things in perspective. The discussions are becoming heated which will not change the situation.

    Further, I have read quite a few negative implied and direct remarks directed at Mike Phillips and Mike Pennington of Meguiar's. Everyone must realize that both Mikes are just messengers that were probably asked to post the announcement by Meguiar's Management. In the same token, would it not be the management that probably also told them to post that the announcement would be postponed? In other words, let's not shoot the messengers. If I worked for a company and my boss told me to post information, I would do so as that was my job. Further, I am sure that both Mike's feel awful to have been placed in this position.

    As the ex-Super Moderator of MOL, I know that I have been told things before, posted the suggestions/information, only to find out that it was incorrect. I did not enjoy the egg on my face and I felt quite stupid for posting it. Moreover, posters made sure I realized that. And...though it may not be appropriate, I am sure I lashed out mostly because I was embarrassed from being placed in that position in the first place. I am sure this is the feeling both Mike's are probably going through. Not fun...trust me!

    Can we please keep in mind that whomever it was that decided to pull the plug at the last moment must have had good reasons to do so, or at least I would hope they did. But regardless, pointing fingers at the MOL Admin for simply doing their job seems to be a little pointless.

        Well.. lets look at this way. IF Megs released it and it was defective what then?

          hi everyone, sure its disapointing that the new product announcement has been delayed. We were all looking forward to it. In customary Megs product superiority, until they get it right, its being pushed back. The sun will still come up tomorow. We loyal megs users will still have the cleanest car on the block witht he most reflectivity swirl free, scratch free. With the weekend upon us, we wouldn't have the product this weekend anyways, so in closing, keep the faith of Megs. They make the best and that's why we use the best.

            First off, I could care less about how much you've spent in detailing supplies. What does that prove? If anything, then find I've spent over $2,000 in supplies. And I have already proved Meg's "exceptional" customer service is far from exceptional. Everytime I called I had to argue with the guy that he was lying right to me because everytime I called he had a different excuse.

            I could care less what others users here have to say about what I say...I have my opinion, you have yours. Why does it matter so much I don't want to sit here and say "oooh it's okay meguiars you have still given me the best shine blah blah blah" I can't wait till this "revolutionary" system comes out and it is just a Meguiars version of some other product already on the market. But of course Meguiars will still be the best of that product

              Heh, heh...and I got up early on the other side of the world for the announcement. Oh, well...it happens.

              Mike, do we know how long the delay will be? Before SEMA or at the show?

                Well as a new member of this forum, it's pretty easy to see from a quick perusal of all your posts, most of them to this thread and a couple about M80 Speed Glaze and one for the free polisher contest, well it's pretty easy to see that you're simply not a happy camper with Meguiar's. You're not happy with our Customer Care Call Center, and you're not happy because we were unable to move forward with the launch of this product according to our time-line. So here's the question,

                What can we do to make you happy?

                I will go above and beyond the call of duty to make you happy. So tell us, what can we do to make you happy? Because if we can do it... we will.

                    It happens all the time. A lot of "major companies" move release dates.

                    Quite honestly, I'm glad they do! I would rather have them move a release date than to have them push a sub-standard product forward, only to have Ver. 2.0 a couple months later.

                    Mind you, i don't know if thats why the moved it back, i jumped in on this discussion late, but im just saying that i'd rather have them do it right than to release it early on some arbitrary date to make a few forum members happy.

                                Wow, what a strict forum. If that's all it takes for Joshua312 to get banned, I'll reserve my comments and keep my mouth shut. I guess I'll just continue to be a lurker on here.
