Put the item(s) in your cart on the Advance website and then click on "pick up at store". It will then let you know what stores stock it. For example in Charlotte, only their "main" store stocks Megs 105/205 and buffing pads.

Will the polishing oils prevent it from being a good base before applying a sealant?

How would you rate the cut of Ultimate Polish vs #80?

The old Meguiar's Medallion Premium Paint Cleaner got me hooked on detailing.

If this polish gets the same results by hand as MPPC I'll be thrilled!

Keep in mind you don't need to do the 3-step every few weeks.

    Step 1 - twice a year
    Step 2 - 3 or 4 times a year
Step 3 - as often as you like, maybe monthly.

    Re: Ultimate Polish

I'm liking the look of the Ultimate Polish/Ultimate Wax combination..

Currently I have the trifecta of UC/Scratch-X/Swirl-X in my arsenal, along with Cleaner Wax. For the makeovers for my daily driver I'm using the Mother's 3 step because I like the results of the stage 2 and 3 on my dark metallic blue paint. (and the shop I went to at the time didn't stock Meguiars)

Last week my mrs finally purchased her dream car, a Commodore Clubsport, and as I don't fancy using a 3 step system on a 6 litre V8 every few weeks, I've decided to give NXT2.0 a try and have bought it for her for christmas... I'm thinking I'll use the NXT and add in the Cleaner Wax as required..

So if we do get these products here (probably some time in 2013), it looks like the combination could offer the best of all worlds

Although possible, generally a Wal-Mart individual store does not have the authority to mark down product as this is controlled by HQ. So it likely indicates something along the lines of Swirlx being discontinued. However, it *could* be they are reducing that stores automotive section size (were other products on clearance?), new products (megs or otherwise) could be taking SwirlX place, the region including that wal-mart store could be making a product change but not the entirety of wal-marts, etc.

As Stoops suggested, Swirlx could just be under performing. Wal-mart typically wants a product to sell 2.5 cases a week per store but may be more lenient in slower moving categories - I'm not sure about automotive. In this case, the discontinued product could be replaced or existing products shelf facings could be expanded, like UC.

After all that, I think we'll just have to wait and see if Wally stocks Ultimate Polish but I'd bet your initial thought is correct and Megs is working with Wal-Mart for the line change.

Could be. But it also could be something as simple as that product not selling as well as, say, Ultimate Compound and the store having too much product in inventory for too long.

Great. Now the new products need to be released to the general market.

Given what SwirlX did for your 3 Series, we would expect fantastic results from Ultimate Polish being used as you described, then topped off with UW and a carnauba product like Gold Class.
