#80 + NXT Tech Wax

Hi all, I bought a bottle of #80 Speed Glaze on last Thursday and finally today I have the time to try on one door panel. Below is the picture of the combi:



Prior to polishing, I QD'ed the panel and below is the photo of how it looks like. Notice some mild swirls and scratches.



I applied a single pass of #80 @ 5000opm. It takes me roughly 2 minutes to breakdown the diminishing abrasives, which is significantly faster than #83. Notice the amount of swirls reduced.



Lastly, I applied a thin layer of NXT Tech Wax. Due to hot weather (30 Celcius), I buff it off after 10 minutes. Looks flawless!



This whole quickie process took me less than 30 minutes. I believe the result would be even better if I apply #83, #80, Deep Crystal Step 2 Polish and 2 layers of NXT Tech Wax. I'll do these when I have long weekends...

Used to have only #83 DACP only and below is my machine - DeWALT DW443.

Great job!!! The #83, #80 and NXT combo is quite impressive isn't it! But it is not just the combo, but also the method for which it was used. You apparently have that figured out pretty well!

Nice work zey! Here's a from Malaysia! The DW 443 is a good choice.

P.S. I'd look into wet sanding the paintwork. Korean cars are quite re-knowned for their orange peel.

I normally used #83 and #80 via rotary.

Does #83 perform very well via orbital (not a PC)? I tried it before but was able to eliminate only 99% of the swirls.

I think you'll like the Safe Degreaser. I use that for wheel wells and tires. What are your plans for using Safe Degreaser?

Thanks scrub. I've just diluted the Safe D-Greaser into a dispenser in dilution ratio of 4:1. I plan to use it on wheel wells, tires, engine, etc...My main concern is, is it ok for the wheels itself? Currently I'm still using Eagle One A2Z . Thanks!

I rinse the tires, wells, and wheels prior to cleaner application. I don't make an effort to prevent the Safe Degreaser from spraying on the wheels. I do try to expedite removal off the wheel, just in case.

I dilute 10:1.

For my application its plenty strong enough. I don't spray / clean engines so I don't need a super strong degrease. For tires Safe Degreaser at 10:1 is fine. I will mix up a stronger batch and test it out.

Safe D-Greaser can be diluted at either 4:1 or 10:1 for cleaning wheels, wheel wells, tires and door jambs depending on the condition of the surface.

Application bulleting states to spray onto wet surface and let stand for 2 minutes then agitate with brush and rinse off with either a power washer or a hose with nozzle.

Hello Mike, I've tried out the Safe D-Greaser over the weekend. I would say at the dilution ratio of 4:1, it acts alot milder than EO A2Z. And I would say it's very safe on wheels too. Quite a nice degreaser at very economical price, as compared to EXTRA All Surface Cleaner.
