Where can we sign-up for this class?

Seriously, is this a "Meguiar's" conducted class? Where is it being held and who is conducting it?

Please do take some photos and share with our forum you're experience at this event.

    Thanks!

Mike, sorry I was unable to capture a photo which is clear enough to show how wet the M80 film was on the surface. Does it apply the same for M83 when I use DA machine?

This detailing clinic is organised together with the Meguiar's official distributor (Hypercoat), a detailing center (AutoDetailer) which uses Meguiar's products, and a Glasurit distributor. It'll be conducted by a certified trainer from Hypercoat. It's held at AutoDetailer's place (Malaysia). You guys are more than welcome to participate! Definitely I'll capture photos and show up the spirit of Meguiar's.

Yes. Even more important that there is a wet film.

            Hey Zey,

            Looks good!

Btw, have you tried #80 with W8006 on Bosch? Will it create micro marring?

Hey Bryan, good day, you can POP over here to have some outdoor activities besides attending the clinic.

Thanks meximum, I haven't tried it with W-8006. But I do think if I apply #80 with W-8006, I'll finish it off with W-9006 too.

Hi Zey, nice work there. Just curious why would you need a Bosch GEX-270AE when you already have a DeWALT DW443 ? I thought the DW443 should be a more powerful machine as compare to GEX-270AE.

Hi Gen2, thanks for your kind words. I agree that DW443 is more similar to PC7424/G100a and more powerful, but what I need is a quieter machine as I usually detail my car at night. Wouldn't want to wake up my neighbors .

So how would you compare the effectiveness of GEX-270AE in term of swirl removal as compare to DW443 ? Would you need to go more passes with GEX-270AE ? Lastly, with a minimum speed of 7000 opm does it makes any difference if you pump up the speed to near maximum ?

GEX-270AE is sufficient to remove mild holograms/swirls with a single pass of M80. I only use it at speed 1 because it's powerful enough, in fact I wish it could go abit slower. My paint is too delicate for any aggressive polishing action. To give you an idea how soft it is, I get extra fine hairline scratches when I apply Scratch-X with Hi-Tech Foam Applicator with moderate pressure.

One of the members' car was used as a show car for the Getz Club Detailing Clinic event. It takes up 2 days to complete the job. The original condition of the car was quite in bad shape. Lots of scratches, swirl marks, etch marks, hazing, etc...

                              Job scope:

                              Dry sanding
                              Rotary/#85/Wool
                              Rotary/#83/W-8006
                              DA/NXT Paste Wax/W-9006

                              Tonnes of swirls and scratches

                              Marring

                              Wax stain on plastic trim

                              Taping off the trim

                              In progress

                              Dry sanding

                              Compounding

                              Finished

                              Swirl-free, glass-smooth finish

                                Hi Zeytee,

                                Thanks for sharing the photos.

Well, since Bosch can support sanding plate, I was wondering whether the whole process can be completed using only Bosch Random Orbital?

                                Meaning:-

                                Dry Sand - Bosch/Sanding Plate
                                Compounding - Bosch/#85/7006
                                Cleaning - Bosch/#83/8006
                                Polishing - Bosch/#80/9006
                                Waxing - Hand

Mike, Could you advise on the result of the above method?

Was planning to get the Bosch machine but I'm out of budget to get a rotary.
