That just proves there's gouging. The reason that's given for the high prices is demand, how many people honestly use 100 octane in their cars?

      • FYI for all of those in the Sacramento, CA area. Gas is only $2.89 @ the AM/PM at Bradshaw and Jackson Rd (Hwy 16).

I am filling up on my way home from school today.

        • Not sure what it's up to here right now. I haven't gotten gas since Friday, and I took the bus/subway in to work this morning.

          I'll guess it's around $3.55 for super.

          • $2.86 for regular @ Shell located Beach / GG Blvd. I am no longer brand loyal either. I go where it is the cheapest if you to consider this cheap.

Gas prices around here at a couple of gas stations have gone down about $0.10 or so. This happening anywhere else?

I just heard on the news that the local price for gas is starting to drop around here some.

                        • In the past two weeks, gas has gone from 2.69 to 2.99. In the last 2 days it has gone from 2.99 to 2.83 to 2.79 at many local Acro stations. A downward trend is a good thing. Just hope "they" are not softening us up for the bigger hikes later.

                          • Well gas here in the UK is just about to breach £1/litre mark, and in some places it already has - that's £3.78 or $6.94 a gallon

                              • 1.12.9 a litre here so $5.04 an imperial gal & that's just for regular!
Notice it goes up real fast when the cost per barrel does but drops extra slow even after barrel cost goes down.
Oil companies know they have a relatively captive audience so to speak.
