It was $2.19 for 87 and $2.39 for 91, but it's down a few cents I think in Phoenix. We've never been this close to California prices though that I can recall. Still, it doesn't bother me too much. I've been averaging about 66 mpg as of lately . About $20 for a tank of premium (which I don't really have to run) and about a 600 mile range between fill ups. Life is good, I'll complain when we hit UK prices.

95 Octane super unleaded is £0.81 per liter.
That converts to $5.40 / US gallon
You can see why we tend to drive smaller engined cars here in Europe.
It is something like 82% tax !!
Yes, but if I'm not mistaken isn't the gasoline sold in the UK of a much much higher quality then what is sold here in the States??

Man for the first time in ages you guys have cheaper gas than us (Denmark). Which is very unfair as we have some of the highest prices on cars in the world (180% tax on cars + 25% sales tax)

                      Example:
Ford Focus SVT cost $19,375 in the US
Same car in UK (Focus ST): $29190.81
Same car in DK (Focus ST170): $62371.94

But I can see that your diesel costs around 30% more than it does here. Filled the car up yesterday at £0.57 for a liter diesel.

This is true, our basic unleaded is 95 octane, but the stuff I put in my RS2 is 98 octane - rocket fuel

Went down a timed quarter mile at a recent car show & it did 0 to 60 mph in 4.67 seconds and the quarter mile in 13.44 seconds

I don't think it would have quite done that on 87 or 91 octane.

The 98 octane does work out at the equivalent of $5.70 a gallon

Yes it is. A very alluminum Honda Insight. I would be getting over 70mpg if I got on the freeway instead of almost exclusively city driving I've been doing.

Here in Daytona gas is just now going over $2 for 87 octane.
                              93 octane is around $2.19 - 2.25.
