Our washing machine has a place to put rinsing aids. I fill if full when doing a load of microfibers. I don't use vinegar every time, perhaps every second or third time.
I've never noticed a vinegary odor or anything else detrimental from vinegar. I suppose using too much may result with a problem.
Do a google search, you'll find many resources mentioning vinegar, plus all sorts of other commercial products for the care of microfibers. Remember they are one of the more important tools (and expensive tools) of your trade, as many processes require microfibers. Right up there with buffer pads...oops another how to clean topic!!

I sort my microfibers by colors. White, Yellow, Orange together and another load of Blue, Green and Brown. Lights and darks separate. Some colors bleed; not sure it matters, but each color has special uses in my work flow.
Next I inspect each towel before I put it in the machine. A dirty spot gets a shot of liquid oxy-clean spray.
Our high efficiency washer has a place for liquid soap, following soap manufacturers instructions I use the appropriate amount of soap. Then I fill the rinse aid receptacle with vinegar. Set the controls to warm wash, cold rinse and single spin. Water level based on quantity of towels.
When done throw in dryer on medium heat, fold neatly when done. I store them in cloth grocery bags with cheap terry cloth towels on top for dust protection.
well i ahve a thing in my washer for fabric sofenner. now i think i will put just say 4 teaspoons on vinigar in the drum along with 4 teaspoons of detergent in the drum. with the cloths and wash it that way will that work?
Depending on the size of the load. I use anywhere from a 1/4 to 1/2 cup of vinegar. After the wash cycle is complete. Run the rinse cycle a second time. This rejuvenates the microfibers. The towels work great after this trick.
It is a good idea to wash your microfibers, whether Water Magnets, Supreme Shines, etc prior to first use. All they really need is a quick, light wash and dry for that first go.
Subsequently, you should wash and dry all microfiber towels and applicators after every use. This includes Water Magnets and wash mitts as well. Warm wash, cold rinse, liquid detergent (amount as recommended by detergent manufacturer and/or washing machine maker) then a low heat tumble dry. Low enough heat that if you have to run them through twice, so be it.
From time to time a half cup to a full cup of distilled white vinegar in the rinse cycle can do wonders for that final breakdown of anything left in the material of the towels.

oh ok. well i think i will wash the applicators by hand. with some detergent and use a bucket of water. the water magnet i will probably ash after the 2-3 use same with the microfibers and i will add 1/4 vinigar. then when there done washing. i should re run the cycle.? (do i add soap again) becuase my Mom doesnt want me washing 4-5 things. so often.
ok. hey micheal so i add the vinegar with teh detergent right on top of teh cloths? im kinda confused. or do i place vinigar in the fabric softner holder./ but wont that put fabric softerner in it? and also can the applicator pads be vinigared?
Put the vinegar in the final rinse. If the washing machine has a fabric softener dispenser that would dump fabric softener into the rinse cycle you can use that for the vinegar - it will only dispense what's put into it. Of course, if there as any fabric softener left behind from a previous use that might be an issue. Personally, when I do use vinegar I just pour it in during the final rinse.
