Car Crazy should at least have some shows about detailing cars, and the use of Meguiars products. When Barry talks with people on Car Crazy he never talks about what Meguiars product was used on the cars. I think that at least some of us want to see a show about car wax.

We enthusiasts would all like to see more stuff about finish care on TV and I can understand wanting to see segments about it on Car Crazy but personally, I completely agree with Barry on his choice of topics.
If he spent part of the show talking about waxing I think some of the general public would start treating it like an infomercial and tune out.
Barry wants to get the message out about the fun of the car hobby and how it can be a positive influence, bringing people together. So Car Crazy concentrates on the events, developments, history and especially the personalities. You can really tell he's a total family guy and he just lights up anytime the subject turns to parents getting their kids interested in cars.
I think My Classic Car does an excellent job of providing truly useful car guy info while promoting their sponsors and being entertaining. Maybe Meguiar's could sponsor an ongoing segment on a show like that.

This past weekend, I watched an episode of Trucks! where the host used Meguiar's Centennial Collection products, unigrit papers, and both rotary/G100 to detail an older explorer. Honestly it was VERY scary watching him work, since as far as I'm concerned he didn't explain things well enough and started out WAY too agressive with instantly jumping to 2000-grit wetsanding (with plain, soapless water) instead of doing any significant steps to determine what the real problems were.Originally posted by Murr1525

So yes, I think Meguiar's needs to do SOMETHING to get the word out, and explain to people that some of these tasks are way over their heads, and to start out mild.

That's an excellent idea! I've tried watching Car Crazy thinking it was more about the products and techniques but was dissapointed when I watched it. Sure they will have to pay to detail a car, pay to tape it, and have several people paid to be on the show and make it fun and interesting, but overall, it should be doable. I mean Meguiar's has always been a great company and they do sponsor some things. Please run this by someone with authority. I would definatly run the special."
Totally. Barry came onto the Shadetree Mechanic show wayyyy back (It's now called Two Guy's Garage) and explained the 5-step system. He pointed out things that my Dad and I both learned from. We also found out that using GC all the time wouldn't actually give the best appearance because sealing in dirt will limit the paint's shine potential. And thus, the three step system was introduced to us THANK YOUUUU BARRY! I remember the show 'til this day, I think it was a green Mach1 mustang..sweet.
Also, if Meguiar's needed someone, I'd do it for free.
PS, is it me or is it me, but every time I watch Car Crazy I'm always watching for Megoo's products in the background. Still, nothing. Though on NOPI I've seen QD, SD and #40!2015 Fiat 500 Abarth.
