When we're at home we always get Costco gas because it's cheapest and we get 5% back with American Express. If we're on a road trip its whatever is closest to the exit on the freeway.

And my dad works in the oil/gas business and he says gas is gas, there's not too much to it.

Gas is not just gas. Crude oil is not the same also . Middle east crude and African crude are the best. Mexican and South American crude are the worst. Some refinerys are modern and refine gas with modern ideas, some are old fashon and refine gas the old fashon ways. Some gas burns clean some dont . The biggest difference is in the additive package. Some additives will keep injectors very clean ,some wont . Nobody seems to know whats in gasoline, so the safeet thing to do is use Top Tier gasoline. Saying all gas is the same is like saying all beer is the same, all wiskey is the same, and all wine is the same , after all grapes are grapes.

I usually just use the cheapest, and then about once even couple months i'll do a couple fills with the high octane.
in my head, it's cleaning out the engin and makeing everything run better.

i'll keep pretending that's true
