I didn't care for it at first but wanted to give it a little time to grow on me before I commented. Notwithstanding Paul's comments, it is growing on me and I do like it. I can understand the comments about it not fitting in as well with the other logos on the top of the page, or it not being the classic logo, etc. But with regard to how it ties in with the font used on cars, etc (ie the Magnum custom paint), looking for a somewhat more modern bent (this is the Internet after all) and then Lydia's comment about the onlinebeing a cute little play, I'm liking it.
For a sticker to put on my car I'd want the classic logo, but then again I'd only put a sticker on my car if I were into the show scene and Meguiar's was sponsoring me. But then I'd be sponsored by Meguiar's, not Meguiar's OnLine, so that would make sense. Now, make a T-shirt with the classic round Meguiar's logo on the left front chest and this new Meguiar's OnLine logo across the back and I'm a happy camper. Then offer up Polo Shirts with the option of either logo on the left front chest and I'm in for those as well.
So, I'll take three shirts please. L on the two Polos, XL on the T. Thank you.

Remember, this hobby is supposed to be your therapy, not the reason you need therapy.
I've had things grow on me that were new, different, funky, quirky, foreign, subtle or outrageous but I don't see it happening with this one. It's boring and generic.
Hmm: ( the logo is to plain to simple it seems like not to much effort was put in for this(no dis.)Generic is the word like other mentioned i dont think Meguiars want to be generic....Although the classic logo(has history) is nice, changes is always welcome and needed....im glad though Meguiars finally started updating there logo becuase this was long over due since it was suppose to be worked on end of last year or early this year...
Again this logo boils down to what Barry and the staff decide, I wonder how much feedback from others is considered
Also i wonder if Meguiars Team when asking there marketing if they gave them complete freedom to make a new logo or was did they have to brainstorm (criteria to meet)
I do understand that meguiars is trying to be neutral in there marketing because there is diff folks and different age groups so they try to appeal to all for example Nxt tech wax label/bottle has been updated...

I just don't see it as an improvement. A change yes, but improvement? If a company spends years developing a brand and logo then update it but keep the overall feel. The Classic Meguiar's Logo is like nothing else out there. How distinctive is another block letter theme?

I don't know the manufacturer, but where can I order a dozen of these new ONLINE things?
Stan,
We appreciate your passion and fondness of voicing your opinion, but at the same time it's against our forum rules to bash companies and this includes us. You've voiced your opinion and you've gotten your point across...
We're currently setting up for tonight's class and won't have any time to monitor this thread until tomorrow, so while it's nice to be important, it's also important to be nice.
We're going to close this thread until tomorrow as we step out into the garage and do what we do best and that's make everything clean and shiny!

Since Mike has re-opened this thread, I would like to add new comments. After reading Mike-in-Orange comments on page 5, now it makes more sense for me for using the “modern” Meguiar’s logo instead of the classic one for the MOL logo. The more I look at the new MOL logo, I sort starting to get used to. However, I am still not fond of the Online portion. So, I took the initiative of modifying the logo. I am not expert in photo shop, but you get the idea.
Here what I did. I took the Open Garage logo since I like the font. Then I created the “online” portion using this font. I kept the same format but I made the “online” portion a bit smaller. At this point it looks a bit blend because of the grey font. Perhaps it would look better with the red lettering with gray borders or the other way around.
Comments? Yeas? Nays?

You mean like this?
lol.
You left out licking the water off. Oh, wait a minute, that's my cat, not my car. Uh, I mean my cat licks himself dry. I don't lick my cat dry. Or my car. -PC.
