What the heck is this, a page from Coca Cola's book? "New" Meguiar's logo?
Marketing 101:
You spend years and years and years developing a brand and logo and then CHANGE IT?
If Mike didn't keep this place so family oriented, I'd tell you what I really think.
Personally, I believe the logo change was some cheapskate's response to all thos MOL sticker requests. Congratulations - I certainly wouldn't put that on my car, tool box or even trash can!
I've had things grow on me that were new, different, funky, quirky, foreign, subtle or outrageous but I don't see it happening with this one. It's boring and generic.
PC.
Some marketing genius copied the exotic TOYOTA corporate font!
The old one is O.K. wasn't sold on the word 'Online'
The new one is O.K. but like was mentioned by other members the 'Online' is to big, should be drawing more attention to 'Meguiars' portion of the logo.
Yep, I think we all know that but in this specific application it just doesn't fit well.
The Online word has even fantasy/imagination, but combined with the generic font type the whole becomes uninteresting. On car or tent applications, the vehicle and the stand itself generates the necessary details and texture to avoid this.
Cute online thing. On the whole, it's not that bad, but I think the Meguiar's should be emphasized more than the online. I think I liked the old one better but this one will probably grow on me. Truthfully, when I noticed the new logo, I couldn't even recall what the old one looked like; I just knew it had been changed.
