I like this change because it is bold, it is crisp, and it is clean and easy to read at a glance. This logo should look awesome on a new, medium size, black or grey, polo shirt.
I can easily make a stained glass panel for my shop cabinets using this font & color format.

I'm not saying it because I work for Meguiars. I really do like it. Looks modern, kinda like where moving forward. They would also make some killer decals.
