The revelation came to me when I bumped into Meguiar's Online. NXT Paste Wax + NXT Wash was the items that got me hooked to Meguiar's. Sadly, I find that NXT Paste Wax is not durable enough,a nd will upgrade to M21 as soon as I finish my NXT Paste Wax ( which, it seems, will only finish up this December! )

The very first Meguiar's product I picked up was the Gold Class Endurance High Gloss Tire Gel back when I still drove a Honda Civic. I also had a bottle of Natural Shine Vinyl & Rubber Protectant. But it wasn't until a few months after I acquired my 2005 Mustang that I was addicted to Meguiar's.
One day, after using up my Armor All Wipes, I needed a new interior protectant. And so, I picked up NXT Tech Protect. The Key Lime scent got me so hooked, I eventually splurged on Meguiar's products (majority of them being NXT) for the next six months.
Now, my Mustang shines like no other and smells like Key Lime Pie and grapes.2012 KIA PICANTO

A combination of GC wash, Ultra Plush wash mitt, Water Magnet, (definately loved this product, how could I dry a full size pickup with one towel, not wringing it out once and having no streaks or water left anywhere) GC wax, and The CC Body Scrub (discontinued)/ paint cleaner
But pretty much the meguiars web site and the 5 step paint care cycle and taking care of a brand new Truck got me hooked.
Meguiar's has been the brand of choice throughout my family for years.

It was their cleaner/wax. My mom got some from the Pontiac dealer for her new 1995 Bonneville. The dealer recommended it to her. At the time, I washed my car often and waxed often with some liquid Simonize. I put in the time but didn't really have access to knowledge or products. Everything I used was stuff my dad had bought years ago, things like tins of Turtle Wax compounds and such.
So I tried this wax out on her car and it was easy to use, and cleaned up the paint while it waxed. I thought it worked well.
I used it on my Corvette when I bought it in '97, and at some point got curious about the company. Even back it had a website listed on the bottle (not common for companies in the 90's). At least I think it did, maybe I just did a webcrawler search or something.
Anyway, their website had knowledge. Like how to wash a car better, how to apply products better, how to treat the problems your car has. It moved me to washing with chenile sponges (vs foam), their Gold Class Clear Coat Prep, and the Gold Class Wax, to foam applicators for applying, and clean quality towels (vs rags) for buffing, and eventually to the PC and beyond. It was a real eye opener for me.Last edited by Aurora40; May 13, 2006, 05:26 AM.
