    • In the US unless you are buying racing fuel, which is currently running around 9 dollars a gallon in Philly, you can't even get 98 octane.
Regular gas, 89 octane is now 3.02 a gallon.

      • There are different methods of calculating octane:

        RON (Highest)

        MON (Lowest)

Formula used in USA: RON +MON/2

Some other countries use RON, so 98 octane in Australia isn't the same as 98 octane in the USA.

As far as gasolione prices go in the USA, things are not really that bad:

                  • I live in Belgium and I drive Eurosuper 95. It costs about €1.3/liter which is about $1.64.

1 gallon is 3.78 liter so gas price here is around $6.00 for a gallon.

                    • $3.26/gallon here in sd is the cheapest that i've seen the past few days. Has anyone heard if the prices are supposed to drop after summer or are $3 gas prices here to stay. I'm gonna have to detail at least a car a day just a fill my tank!

Well, with gas prices soaring again what are we paying now?
We are at $3.13 for regular today. The price for a barrel of oil is hovering around $110.00! I am scared to think of what it will be by Memorial day.
