    Re: I-Quit sale

I guess I'm still going to maintain my car. I'll just leave the swirl removing to the professionals. Cheers

        Re: I-Quit sale

I spend half my time in Summit and half my time in New Brunswick. Roseland is close to Summit, I'm available here most weekdays, just drop me a PM.

And guys, the stuff is still for sale, I took off what I may end up keeping. When I save up enough money for the G110 (but most likely a cheaper equivalent) I will get more.

$5 NXT Gen Car Wash 90% left (used till the bottom of the neck)
$6 SwirlX 95% left (used for a quarter of the hood)
        $6 UC 75% left
$8 NXT Gen Tech Wax 2.0 50% left
        $3 Quik Interior Detailer

        All for $25
Shipping fee varies depending on how many you buy, contact me for details.

          Booooooo

Don't quit, it takes time and some dedication, but its rewarding in the end.

I once put swirls in my paint just to see what it looked like.

          I don't always detail cars, but when I do, I prefer Meguiar's.
          Remove swirls my friends.

Don't Quit...trust me and believe me when you have swirls its very hard to come off by hand...the G110 is an actual investment and it does work...especially if you used the ultimate compound with it, kinda of a guarantee. I tried it all by hand before and thought i was lost, but it was the g110 that took off prior hazing and swirl marks. So i would try by getting a g110 with the free pads and if it doesn't work, return it or sell it somewhere and make your money back!

You're not going to be very effective working by hand. You need a PC, G110, or Flex. I know that UC/swirlx/scratchX is usable by hand, but you will not see the dramatic results you want without DA polisher. Please keep your products, and get/borrow a DA.

If you can get a forum member to perform the swirl removal, why not have them train you on the PC and technique so you can do it yourself when you get a PC?

You'll then see that it is not time and money wasted and you'll have everything you need already except for the PC and pads.

                    Your still learning.
All of us were new at one time.
We all had to learn how to do it correctly, that's what MOL is for, to teach YOU.
Your going to need some kind of machine to get the results your looking for.
Just be patient and you finlay get it and then you'll be soooooo happy!

I hate to say this, but you're really not going to get rid of those swirls unless you get hold of a DA. I always say that as far as corrective work is done, it takes a DA or a rotary (assuming you're experienced with a rotary). I've made a few cars look great, doing things by hand, but soon as you inspected them in the sun, the swirls did not hide.

Then I got the g110 and in 3 jobs, have achieved 65% correction, 70% correction, and 80% correction--Things I could not have accomplished by hand and still retain my sanity or energy. Right now, I'm just playing with my technique and the pads with the DA. I already know that m105 and m205 with the DA can do great things.

It's unfortunate to see people so often...be led down the false pad to correction when "the pros" continually tell people to run out and pick up soem ScratchX, UC, and all those other things off the shelf and work it by hand. That's just setting people up for disappointment!

Save up for a DA and some pads plus some 105 & 205 and really accomplish what you set out to do. Then you'll be able to seal in that shine with the wax and all that . Sorry you had to spend the money the hard way! I don't blame you. So many recommendations to buy the off-the-shelf stuff and work it by hand...that's too high a goal for a fresh-starter. Come on people; let's be real! It's all about the DA and stronger machines.

Good prices btw, heh. Let's hope the shipping is equally impressive .

This is Meg's position, "use the least agressive product".
So using ScratchX and the like is a "good" start.
                          So it's not "false information".
You don't want to start with M105 first and blow through the CC and then fiqure out you should have used a less agressive product.

Although I agree M105 is the best, it's just not practical to recomend starting with it.
The OP either doesn't understand or doesn't want to do all that work.
Some people arn't Car Crazy like most of us.

This is probably the reason why I'm feeling so hopeless... If someone just said that nothing will work until I get a DA, I would be no where close to giving up hope.

did you buy the car new or used? If you bought it new then there is a paint issue and take it to a pro, let them do the dirty grunt work and then use your products to keep up the maintnance. If you bought the car used well there is the problem. They hire any monkey that has 2 arms, give them a DA and let them have at it! Most dealerships have no business polishing cars because they cause major paint and clearcoat damage that is sometimes unable to be fixed. If you have swirls the clear needs to be leveled out. Dont quit, just plan your next step.

                              Good luck
Having a black car is not a hobby, its a full time job!

I know, Mario, but that's why we do what we call a "test spot" .
Best of luck to you, AGP.
I went down the same path as you and have many almost-full supplies accumulated while I went through the "work your way up the aggressiveness scale" path, but I stuck with it, and now I just have a DA, the good 'ol 105 & 205 combo which works fairly well, and had not achieved any real corrective work before I purchased that trio. I stuck with it though (yes, it's expensive), but so are many hobbies !
