    Great job, love the color.

Ultimate Polish and Ultimate Wax a good combination. I like it. I just did a quickie on my car of Ult.Polish and Gold Class + another good combination.

Again, good work Greg and car love'n guard dog...

I like that it offers much more room and comfort. The automatic transmission has 8 gears now to improve mileage. The car looks like X5's younger brother.

I wonder how X3's sales will hold up once X1 becomes available in the US. It may be a tough competition.
I havent actually seen a new X3 but im sure there is more room than the previous one. In the previous one there was hardly any room in that thing for a guy thats 6'2, 200lb.

Would be nice if my wagon had 8 but 6 is good enough. You said it was the 28i right?

UP/ GCCP sounds good too. I'll try it next time.
I had my back watched well during detailing.

          That's right, 28i 240hp, no turbo.

            Excellent work Greg!

Is this X3 your personal vehicle or a customers? I remember you doing an X5 and cannot remember if that was yours or not either.

            Either way, brilliant work.

Beautiful dog you have there too.

What dressing did you use on the tires?

That's my new personal ride. It replaced the black X3.

He's a great companion and really likes car rides. If I leave a car door open he gets in immediately.

A very nice detail on a SUPER nice car! Well done! Judging from your pics, I'm assuming this new X3 is the XDrive28i? I've only seen a few of these around town, but they look fantastic! I just bought 2 bottles of UP and 2 bottles of ULW! I can't wait to try them out, and this thread confirms it, that the results will be quite impressive!

Yes, it's 28i 240hp, no turbo. The production has been moved to USA (Spartanburg, SC just like X5) from Austria. X1 is assembled in Leipzig, East Germany, and should hit US market this fall.

You won't be disappointed with UP/ ULW combo.

I just received a 4-minute video from BMW showing the vehicle's 2-day journey through the production line until the moment when all fluids were added and the car drives off by itself for the first time.

                        Super cool !!!

That's certainly a neat thing to have.

The Body Shop goes first, then The Paint Shop where they use modern eco-friendly water based paints.

After that the body travels 1/3 mile through the tunnel to The Assembly Hall when VIN is added making it a personal vehicle. The doors get removed and travel to their own assembly line.

After installing a wire harness they place the body on Skid/ Tilt Transfer Station to get an unobstructed access. Carpeting, headliner and dashboard are installed next. Then windshield, rear window and seats. The doors are put back next.

The last stop is The Marriage Area where powertrain is put from underneath and robots tight the mounting bolts from the bottom. After front grill and wheels installation the vehicle touches the ground where all fluids are added and the engine gets started for the first time. That's the end of assembly. It took 40 hours total.
