As I said in my review at the beginning of this thread, I have been using the D151 on several paints as well as different surfaces just to see how it reacts etc...
I also mentioned that I have both customer cars with it on as well as my own so that I can provide an objective and subjective opinions. As I said, I need to see it in both cases as I know what I have done to my own vehicles after the D151 was used.
I used the D151 on my truck's tailgate about a month ago. It was a long winter and the back of the truck had some slight marring. I figured this would be an excellent test as the truck has a deep dark green color that shows the slightest marring. If it is not perfect, believe me, it shows up! I used the D151 with the G-110 and a W-8006 pad followed by D151 on a W-9006 for extra refinement.
The D151 did an excellent job, finishing down to a beautiful high gloss with no micro-marring. The paint is rich, deep and glossy.
I will keep everyone updated and will do a follow up this weekend as I get a chance to see the other cars the D151 was applied to as well.
ETA from ADS is 9th June. Cant wait to get a gallon and try them out. Few of my buddies were looking for a economic solution for making their daily car shine so D151 might just be the one i'm looking for.
Seconds (to quote you Zoran) and days are totally different.
This had nothing to with how good a product will be or if it's worth waiting for.
But you always have to be right so you are.
Seconds, days, weeks, so what? One really needs to put things in perspective. Plus putting a new product on the market is not really as simple and easy as "I'll meet you at 7".
But you know what, this could really go off topic big time and it already did as this is "D151 review" thread, not "D151 count down" thread, and I am not even slightly interested in that so I am out.
I can wait. After all, Meguiar's is trying their best to give us quality products. I'm sure they're not delaying on purpose. They would want their customers' satisfaction before anything.
Like all things, sometimes things take longer than anticipated. Just know that Meguiar's is working VERY hard at getting the D151 ready for sale. And believe me, it will be worth the wait!!!
So would a date but you are not going to walk away if she doesn't show up to the second sharp, are you? If she is worth the wait you will not complain and will wait, correct? You would expect same from her, right? After all she/you might be stuck in traffic and it is not her/your fault, is it?
Personally I don't see it as a big deal. We waited on M105 and it was worth it, we can wait on D151 too. I would rather have it late than never so let's just be happy it is coming, world will not end nor there will be unfinished work if it comes with some delay.

One quesion for the nice Meguiar's tech folks, how much cut and how much filling would you say 151 has?
Hey,
Actually I addressed that in my review in the beginning of this thread. But just to quote myself:
"The first thing I noticed when using the D151 that it is fairly thick, with a similar consistency to Solo Cut and Polish Cream. In fact, when looking through the translucent bottle, I could see small air bubbles indicating that the product had a thicker consistency. I found that it had substantially more cut when using it with the Rotary polisher which is to be expected. The product finished down very nicely and had an average amount of working time. I finished the sections using the D151 with the G-110. I then did an isopropyl alcohol wipe down just to see if anything remained. The swirls were completely removed. Any product that contains a wax with the intended purpose of leaving something on the finish for protection will have a very slight filling capability. BUT I wanted to see if the Unigrit Technology was actually removing the swirls, and indeed it was.

According to ADS' site "production delay, available June 2008". But guys, really, are we an impatient bunch or what? You know what they say, "late for a date, but worth the wait", right?
I would really appreciate an update from someone at Meguiar's about the release date. Jason Rose posted last week that we would be able to come back from Memorial Day Weekend and order the 151. Now we are in the next weekend and still no word. Please don't get our hopes up just to let us down again, and someone please give us a real and official answer.
