Re: Product "129D" - Test Feedback

Taking a cue from another reply, I just applied the mist and wipe product to one half of my grandmothers car. She is staying with us for the month and drove down from Colorado. The car has not been washed in several weeks.

The mist and wipe did a very nice job of removing the filth on the surface while guarding against additonal marring. It is 85 degrees and very sun out and her vehicle has been sitting in the sun the entire time. The hood was very warm (just short of hot) to the touch and the new mist and wipe applied VERY easily and wiped streak clean with out any issues. Once again, I am very impressed by how difficult it is to get this product to streak, even in direct, warm sun.
Let's make all of the cars shiny!

i diddnt get a bottle of this product, but the bottle itself screams nxt. and that was before i read the replys to the posts. maybe its a new nxt spray on wax/quik detailer kinda thing. or possibly, someone try to use it when the car is dirty. see if it cleans already dirty sections.

thats what i get from it, as people are saying its like nxt spray on wax/ quik detailer, but doesnt matter if the surface before was waxed or not. might be a 'quik wash' that needs no water, and quik details at the same time, so you can get into that applying glaze right away for a car show.

OK , so when does the product hit the market ? From what I have read so far I am ready to buy as I have two vehicles that have to stay outside so the show car can stay inside .

i too like the black but i dont think classy, i see it as gold class like black and gold. i think it would be cool to have black and gold bottle or something like that or something like nxt with the stand out shiny silver and blue and purple and such. or perhaps maybe make what ever the product is that is wat the bottle will be. like wax will be dark and glossy, polish will be shiny, something like that. this is for the consumer line of course.

I seriously can not wait! My Black BMW sits outside all day long and can get very hot in the So. California sun! Just today I tried quick detailer to get some water spots off and it streaked in the hot sun and required a lot of buffing, so if this stuff is very resistant to streaking, I am all in!

I am especially interested if this is a waterless wash!!! Us apartment complex guys/girls will die for it!

maybe it is an NXT product they're just hiding it. had it been purple everyone would have known right away.

                  I think I should get a peek! :P note the 2e's

Just reading the reviews it sounds like it is a spray and walk away LSP with slickness of Gold Class.

Re: Product "129D" - Test Feedback

Well, I arrived home from school to see a package lying on the doorstep. Guess what? It's the Meguiar's test product!!! I was surprised at how fast I got it considering it was sent out Friday - Thanks for sending it out Fedex Overnight!!!

Alright, so out of the box, the bottle looks very much like a bottle from the NXT Series.

So, here are the test vehicles and protectants:
Gold - 2001 Mercury Sable - 1 coat of GC and topped with #21 - daily driver, but it was just washed on Saturday and the protectants are less than a week old.

Red - 2003 Ford Expedition Eddie Bauer - #21 x2 over #7 - this was a daily driver, but it has not been driven since I applied the protectants.

White - 1973 Porsche 911 - #16 x2 over #80 and #7 - this is a showcar that has not been driven in five months. The protectant is less than a month old and has not even been outside since the application.

                    Process:
All the vehicles were clean. I just took a MF cloth and did a quick wipe did remove some dust. The gold Sable had a little bit of dust since it sits outside and it's pollen season. I then proceeded to mask off each vehicle; I will provide which side had the application. I sprayed a light mist over the half and wiped it off using another clean MF cloth. I took pictures ten minutes after the applications.

Expedition - test product on the right side (nearest bottom of the picture)

Sable - test product on left side and QD on right side. I couldn't help myself. I just had to see if the product would make the water bead a little better considering how smooth it made it. It was true!

Porsche - test product on the right side. As you can see, the clearness is obvious!

                    Notes:
I felt this product is truly spectacular! Even though the Porsche has two coats of my favorite wax, it looked even better after the application. The one thing that really stuck out was the difference in smoothness. #16 itself is very smooth, but the test product made it feel even better. On the Expedition and Sable, the paint felt a lot better. The Sable's paint isn't exactly perfect, but it made it feel much smoother. The Expedition is proof of the quality of the product. You can see in the picture the difference in richness in the red paint. The product made the red a lot deeper; it went from being a tiny bit hazy to being crystal clear. The application was very easy. The sprayer was a lot easier to use and provided a very fine mist. When I went to wipe it off, it came off with ease. After I was done with these three vehicles, I felt the results were so good that I did all three all over - not just on the masked off parts.

This product would be a gem at a car show where smoothness and paint quality are extremely important and time is of the essence. If you are looking to improve the shine, depth, and smoothness of your paint within a matter of minutes, this product would be perfect for you. One thing is for sure, I will definately add this product to my detail bag for car shows!!!

I'm really impressed and it takes a lot to impress me.

I am fairly certain it is a spray LSP. It is obviously going to be in the consumer line because of the sprayer and the type of bottle. It probably won't be from the GC because it is the Meguair's logo, not the Gold Medallion.
