    Re: G110 Lasted TWO days!

    Update--
The next day the G110 died completely.
I called customer service, and they were great!
I was told to ship my 110 back to Cali. I asked if they would e-mail me a shipping label since I was anticipating a large cost of shipping such a heavy product across country.

The CSR stated that he could not do that, but he would reimberse me the cost of shipping in free merchendise.

I used my UPS account and cost only $20.00.

I will post a final update when the new one arrives.

(BTW the machine did a beautiful job when it worked. I suggest buying one, it will make you a lot of money!)

      Re: G110 Lasted TWO days!

My G110 died as well last Saturday. I was 3 hours into the detail, and it just shut down. The DA polisher had a weird electric motor burning smell. I thought something was wrong. Now I got to send it into Irvine for a replacement.

I just used mine for the first time on a detail Sunday, it made it the whole way through. After about 5 mins it hesistated a couple of times. When it did that I smacked it a couple times and rolled my eyes thinking that it was gonna die with product on half of a hood. But a few hours later it was still humming away without any more hesistation. I'll keep my fingers crossed, It'll get tested again tomorrow.

HEADS UP! I got impatient waiting for my replacement G110..........they said they thought the NEW ones would arrive at the end of this month.........so, I e-mailed and asked IF they now knew WHEN they would arrive. Thought others - like myself would be glad to know :

So about another week. Keep in mind they ship from TN. So those of you on the east coast may see them before we do on the west coast.

              Re: G110 Lasted TWO days!

I've been slowly doing my car when I had enough time to do at least a complete panel.

1/2 roof, both fenders, tonight doing the hood my G110 died when I shut it off. The button felt funny and now it will not turn back on.

Good news as I check this thread the return service sounds excellent so I'm not worried.
              New product bugs, it happens.

If the switch felt funny, tell it to straighten out and quit screwing around!

On a lighter note, sounds like a heat problem associated with too small of a rated switch for the power it's drawing.....could be.

I tried that, now it works 50% of the time in the "off" position and never in the "on" positon

                    Also....

Construction sites that uses tools that can draw some amperage like skilsaws, saber saws, table saws, hammer drills etc. With that in mind, when I was growing up in the industry with my dad as a Union Electrician (Local 6, San Fran) he always said to use a good extension cord with the power tools or you will wreck them or shorten the life quickly.

With that in mind, I use a 12 gauge power cord, after a long day of using it including the shop vac, it runs a tad bit warm. So...those cheapo walmart 14-16 gauge wire extension cords are harming your machines.

Check this link out from UL for extension cord safety.
