Hey guys,
I committed a colossal mistake today and I thought sharing it with you might deter some from following my erroneous footsteps. Well, it all began this afternoon. I washed my beautiful Honda CRV and then used Meguiars Ultimate Compound to touch up some swirl marks (it worked great!). Then, I proceeded to apply wax to the back and side of my car. As I removed the wax, I could hardly contain my child-like excitement! The car looked great. Then things took a turn for the worse. Instead of grabbing the wax for the hood of the car, I selected the Ultimate Compound! I applied a liberal coat of UC on my hood and two doors! When I realized I had done this, I was greatly discouraged. I had spent several hours washing and prepping the car and now I have to redo a good portion of it! Even worse, I have conveniently removed a thin layer of paint from two sides of my car!
The point of the story: look at the bottle before applying!
