You'd be surprised. Even a much less aggressive product than UC can, if applied aggressively enough, cut all the way down to the color coat - we've seen people do it. The problem usually arises when trying to remove something really deep, like a bad etching from a bird dropping or a very deep but short scratch. People go at with a lot of passion and an aggressive applicator like a piece of terry cloth, and rub like crazy in that very small space. Before you know it, they're through the clear. Never say never.
