105 combined with the Flex combined with the right pads has produced favorable results within our shops and other
shops across the country

But I say this with caution as others have also done within this thread. We test and evaluate products as part of our business and thus we are very comfortable at testing, evaluating and sometimes dealing with outcomes that were not desirable.

So with all respect to the others who have posted; both company or non-company...listen and practice what the manufacturers and Pro's preach! Be very cautious if you do decide to expand on this concept and do so knowing that many of us pushing the limits are paid to push the limits and thus we can afford to take the risk involved.

But I can tell you...105, The Flex and Several Variations of Pads can and does produce some fantastic results at the professional retail level of our industry!

Has anybody tried using NON-DA approved M105 with a 8006(Yellow polishing pad) with a G110DA?

I bought the non DA 105 about 1 week before the DA-approved one came out and I certainly can't justify throwing out the old one just to buy the new one. I'll gladly purchase the new DA approved M105 once I used all the old non DA approved 105, but until then I want to know if anybody else has gotten good results using the following combo;

Non DA approved 105 + G110 + Yellow polishing pad?

I did a 50 50 on my hood and took some pictures, unfortunately they were taken with my Girlfriends camera so I do not have them. Ill have her email them to me and Ill post them up.

I used a PC and a Sonus white polishing pad with the First batch of 105 and realized it did more damange than good. Ill try to post them up tonight and let you be the judge.

Sure, I use the original M105 with W8006 and W8207 pads. I have a ton of the old M105, so I would rather use it up anyways.

It's not recommended, but it is very effective at removing serious defects.

If you take some of the M105 and aggressively rub the product into the entire surface of the pad, you will get more cut. By having the abrasive in every pore of the pad, you utilize the entire pad. You may end up with a little marring, but it's generally very mild.

I'm not Kevin but here's the deal... the first version wasn't formulated to be used with a tool that oscillates, you can use it with a tool that oscillates but it might not perform as well as the new version that was reformulated so that it will work with tools that oscillate.

I'm wondering if anbody else is in my predicament, and if so what kind of results they are getting with the above mentioned combo. (105 + G110 + yellow polishing pad)

I've used it a few times with good results. The only problem I've ever had is the working time was short. You don't know what you can do till you try it, all paint is different. I'd say tape off a test spot and give it a go. Hope that helped!

Lots of people bought the first version and use it successfully with a DA Polisher, it tends not to have the working time as the new version so be aware of that and pay attention that you don't buff to a dry buff.

• Shrink the size of your work area down
• Clean your pad often using the "Clean your pad on the fly technique"

For what it's worth, I've used the first version of M105 with our polishing pad with DA Polishers with great success.

Just follow the above tips...

No I haven't run into any problems yet as I have not yet tried it yet. I just wanted to quantify what exactly I was getting myself into. Before actually doing it.

Last weekend I tried first version #105 into my -02 passat.

First go with G220 and #83 on polishing pad and hard german paint just laughed to me.

Then I tried #105 with cutting pad and started to get some result. i got rid of cobwebs and greyness but deeper rids stayed. Found out that i was learning more and more how to use #105 but still need more practise.

After #105 it was time for #80 with finishing pad and I was quite happy with result.
