Okay Mike and everyone that pitched in.
Here's some after shots. The roof is beyond fixing except a repaint.
Here's a shot of that awful engine scoop. It's about 75% back to life (although probably short-lived with the overall condition of the paint)
Next is the too far gone roof. Repaint Time for the Owner.
The overall appearance of the car is improved (if you don't look at the roof which is waist high LOL)
Here's another overall shot. Everything else came out just fine.
I did get to maneuver this car in my driveway. Rear vision doesn't exist! The window cranks down to about a 3" wide opening. There is no power steering and I've parked better 2.5 ton military trucks! BUT, BUT...that motor has the most incredible sound. Italian V12's just have an exotic Formula sound that give you goose bumps.
Take care all....I have an "easy" Black Roush tomorrow.

Mike and everyone: Thanks a ton for the tips and advice. I am still working on the car (believe me...this one "ain't" for money) and a lot of the areas came out pretty good. The roof is shot...a repaint is in order for several parts of the car.
Mike: I ended up using several products with both the Cyclo and the pc...and once again, the BEST product for this car was Good Old Color X. There must be some oils in that product, cause the Lambo soaked them up good. But the results will speak for themselves. I'll post some pics tonight.
I can't thank you all enough! What a great bunch of detail enthusiasts we have here.

Not Offended at all msuperbauer. Yes, it's a real Lambo.
The car is supposed to be here around 5:30 pm CST today. I want the owner to stick around while I do a test panel (probably the air intake scoop). Then, it's gonna be a go/no-go from that point.

Sorry my question was misleading. What I wanted him to tell me specifically was what exactly was wrong.
As it turns out, it was not even a clear coat in the firstplace which shows us we need to be very certain of what we are doing in the detail process.
It is easy to determine if a vehicle has single stage or two stage paint systems.
Just take a white towel with a little wax and rub it on the paint. In this case, if you get red it is single stage, if you get no color it is clear coated.
Question: "If you get just a little bit of color what is it?"

Not to doubt the owner of this car, but are you sure it's a "real" Lamborghini ? The stance of it in the photos and proportions look like a kit car? Just asking, no offense intended.

I agree single stage is a bit of a different animal -
He will have to do a test spot first to be 100% sure it is toast.

Honestly, I think going over a heavily oxidized car by hand using terry cloth towels for the first step makes sense. It will remove the really nasty top layer without messing up your pads.

Thanks for the replies folks! That Camaro is way beyond what the Lambo finish is and that's a tribute to your work.
I can borrow a rotary from a friend here in KC and I have 7006, 8006, and 9006 pads.
A little sad humor about the owner. The last person that detailed this car only charged $100 and I promptly told him he probably got his money's worth.
Like I indicated: Wash + Test for single stage + test for finish on a small panel (like that air scoop) = decision time whether to go ahead.
Folks, I appreciate the comments and assistance. If I decide to go ahead and the car paint comes out to my expectations, I'll probably lock in several high end cars in the future.

Actually, I began my tests on the Camaro with a PC and M83 and the results were promising, but not fast enough to get the job done within an acceptable time period.
I used the rotary with foam pads, primarily W-7006 cutting pad and W-8006 polishing pad using M83. It was finished off with the PC and M80 and #21 with a W9006 pad and PC.
