Hi I hope I'm not double posting but I have a used piece and a new unopened piece of clay from Meguiars Clay kit and I can't find the lube I had and can't find just the lube by itself anywhere. Do I have to buy a whole new kit and throw away two good pieces of clay just to buy the clay lube?

Re: Clay lube
The red bottle quik detailer should be available locally. All the autoparts stores I see around here have it. Another alternative would be Mothers Showtime.

The black one demands attention, washing, detailing, waxing and an occasional dinner out at a nice restaurant. The silver one demands nothing and it looks just fine. I think the black vehicle is taking advantage of me, and the silver car is more my style. We can go out for a drive without her makeup and she looks fine. If I want to take the black one out, it is three or four hours in the "bathroom" to get ready.

Re: Clay lube
You should be able to find our regular, maroon bottle Quik Detailer at just about any auto parts store, Walmart or Target in your area. It's about as ubiquitous a product as you can get in this hobby! If for some bizarre reason nobody in your area carries (which just seems all but impossible) then any of our competitors basic quick detailer should suffice.Michael Stoops

I say hit it with the foam gun, use the wash mitt to get the crud off, then hit it again with foam. Work the clay over the area and rinse.
repeat as needed.Extreme Radiance Detailing
