    Re: Professionally Marred Car

Okay, so since I just recently did the JetSeal and 50/50 wax combo, can I just wash the car with my ECOwash car wash, then run a clay over with my detailer spray to remove anything that the wash didn't get and be set, or would I have to chemically remove the sealent and wax?
I mean, can I just start the scratch removal process with all that on there?
I tried searching around but I could not find anything specific. I tried calling the manufacture Chemical Guys, and they recommended the use of an IPA to strip, but then also recommended Dawn dish soap.
So, I was looking at the dilution ratios, and I do not think I would want as a high as 17.5 since I could only get a 70% mixture IPA.
I was thinking of mixing 5oz of the 70% IPA with the reaming 26% percent being water from my purifier that I keep in the fridge. That gives me slightly over 10% which was recommended?
I plan to do this before the compounding since my compounding liquids are wax, oil, and silicone free I will get absolute results without need of a wipe down.
    Thanks for the input.

No need to remove previous sealant / wax before doing scratch removal.

Do as per your original plan - wash & clay - then you're good to go.

...Actually if you've recently just clayed it, you may not even need to do that.

We can go out for a drive without her makeup and she looks fine. If I want to take the black one out, it is three or four hours in the "bathroom" to get ready.

I know I shouldn't, but I did a poor job of claying as I did not have proper lube. I think it would be best to clay just in case.
I am hoping to get the hood done this week, I have recently started working out again, so I am giving that priority over my cars paint correction.
Anyway, hopefully tomorrow afternoon I can get at least the hood done. I figure if I take my time through all the steps and really concentrate, 2-3 hours should be more then enough for the hood.
