After doing some paint correction, I apply Nxt and I can never get that stuff not to streak. I've let it sit anywhere from 15 minutes to a few hours. Each and every time when I wipe it off it streaks and appears to remain wet. The wax never dries and never passes the swipe test. I believe I'm putting it on in thin layers but should I maybe let it sit overnight?

This is the reason I was looking to switch to maybe UW but if streaking is a problem there as well maybe I should go to M21. What are your thoughts?
I know you said you are applying it thin, but it sounds like it is still too think based on your description.

Is it so thin that you have to almost look at it from special angles to see the wax? Or do you see obvious patterns wherever you applied the wax before removal? It should be "whisper thin" and honestly difficult to see from some angles when done right. Many people think they are putting it on thinly, but in reality they are still using two, three and four times too much product.

Any chance you could snag and post some pictures of the wax you applied? That may help as well. Aside from that, make sure you aren't using a contaminated microfiber and be sure to switch to a dry/clean side for the final pass.

Well, if it is still actually wet, and seeming to smear around, it needed to dry more.

Steaking would be more like when you remove all the dried excess wax, and there is a random darker line/mark, etc left in an area.

There are cases where a car just doesnt like a certain wax. But more often it is in how the wax is being used.

According to your description I am putting it on to thick. I can see the wax on the car clear as day. So that could very well be the problem. I do use a clean microfiber and do turn it frequently to ensure a fresh side of the MF is wiping off the wax. I'll try next time to use much thinner coats.

          Thanks for the help.

Re: ulitmate wax vs nxt 2.0

I just reaquainted myself with NXT 2.0 on our 99 calypso red bmw. I still love my NXT even if i have a couple of other waxes in my arsenal. It seemed to have changed a bit in terms of depth and gloss. Or could simply be that I haven't used it on that car for a while. Doesn't seem to be as deep or as candy-toned as i recall, but still nice and even and shiny. Seems to be a bit brighter than i recall. Followed it up this morning with a coat of 476s just for additonal protection.

While i believe that NXT 2.0 isn't the most durable wax i have, it will always be my go to wax since it gives good results every time and is easily the most user friendly wax i have

Good heavens....another "old guy" from the 60's who can still remember them...loved that Blue Coral on Chevrolet Honduras Maroon. Yep, I used the mist of water and rebuff technique. Directions were right on the can telling you to do so.

I think the real question to ask is if it smells as good OR better than NXT 2.0....I'm sure either is a good product...I just want to know which one smells better =)
