Re: Ultimate Compound help!!!! Videos inside to show the issues i have.
It can be frustrating at first, that is true. Non-pro level guys (i think i qualify in that category) especially novices can have problems at first, but its part of the learning process too. Ultimate compound is a user friendly consumer level product even by hand but its still more work than applying wax for sure. Basically, its for people who are limited to hand application or people who don't have DA polishers, ultimate compound will still require elbow grease definitely. I wouldn't say hard pressure by hand, just a bit more pressure but not too much. Its actually more of starting with moderate pressure, then lighten up the pressure as it breaks down.
But ultimate compound sill work best with a machine buffer (Dual Action polisher), no question about it, and alot less tiring! With the directions, well... I agree with you because if i were a detailing newbie (as in ZERO knowledge), i would find the instructions kinda vague, a bit lacking, or even misleading (no offense to megs). I would definitely need more details.
Oh, and its nice you found your solution to your Ultimate compound issues. I hope you contiue to use it since you seem to have superior results now
