Didn't have any luck locating the Marine Color Restorer today, but I got a break in the weather this evening so I hit the to with some #2 to get rid of some of the oxidation, then I took a pass with some #7 Show Car Glaze (Man, I like that stuff). I think the fiberglass top is going to come back.

    What do you think?

I didn't bother with the tape, the difference is easy to see.

    Thanks for looking.

That was my plan with this. Funny you should say that too, I was reading a string on a Bronco forum today (doing some research on it) and one guy was talking about getting an F-150 and his Bronco stuck in the snow. His boss in a Liberty had to pull them out. Don't short change your jeep, they are still the ultimate off-road machine. Followed closely by the Toyota Land Cruiser, the late 90's FJ 70? with the factory lockers. But they go for $40K+ new.

Oddly enough in the research today I found out Ford only made 3000 of the Silver Anniversary Editions. They were all the same color (Currant Red) the only truck offered in that color by ford, they were also the first truck offered with leather seats by Ford. The only differences between the 3000 made were the choice of leather or cloth seats and the choice between the 302 and the 351C. I might just have to restore it and hang on to it for a couple of years when it becomes a Classic.

You might just see the tractor done in an up coming string. I have another International loader and 3 water trucks with stainless tanks (2@2000 gallons, 1@500gallons) a Chevy truck and a Dodge Intrepid. They'll all get the treatment sooner or later.

As for the engine, I'm not there yet.

Thanks, I'm pretty happy with it so far too. The Great NorthWet decided to live up to it's name today, doesn't look like I'll be doing anything with it in the rain. More fun for tomorrow!

That is pure genius, I never even thought of bedliner on the cap.

After the body work is done and it's painted the interior of mine will be Line-x'd, talking to the painter today he can match the Line-x to the exterior paint. If I can't get the cap clean, I'll have him do it too.

I have a hard time believing there isn't a gel-coat on the cap, but it sure feel too rough to be coated. I'll have to go lurk some Bronco forums and see what's up.

There really isn't any other option for hers. I am going to buy the roll-on Dupli-Color Bed Liner kit and go at it. Yours looks like it still has a chance though. The only thing is, I have no idea what it is covered in???

Ground to cover???? Yeah, tell me about it. The neighbor was laughing his butt off watching me try to get the whole top. I had to fire up the case and raise the blade so I had something to stand on.

I'll let you know if I find anything that works, I'm going to try the Marine color restorer and see what it does.

I have no idea what to use on my G/Fs Bronco shell either. I think I am just going to take it off and use the roll on bed liner stuff to re-do it this summer. She has wiped dressing on it and it looked pretty dang good, but it wears off after a wash and that is some ground to cover.

I'm not sure what's up with the shell. I think the shiny spot is just wet. I'm still trying to figure out what to use on the fiberglass. I've tried cleaner waxes before on fiberglass like this and it ended badly , don't need a repeat of that. I think I'll hit the local Marine stores tomorrow and try to find some Meguiar's boat goodies.

It took me about 3-1/2 hours to get from the first photo to the second. So, I'm thinking I've got about 20 hrs of cleaning, polishing and waxing just for the paint. Then the fiberglass, interior, engine, chassis, tires and rims. But time sure does fly with the PC and the smell of Bananas.

As easy as you all make it look, I must say, I'm not worthy .

And I think I'll find some #80 as well.

    Tomorrow, more of this

That after just a wash!? That's crazy! Looks like you have a painted shell as well?

The polishing looks like it is going along real well!
