I'm a neophyte so I have no idea what I'm dealing with. I'm 3rd owner. The paint is Mercedes Tenorite grey metallic
755/7755. I only can see it in direct sunlight and not in the shade. I used Meguiar's Ultimate Polish
and it appeared to improve. I think I'm doing this all wrong....
It looks like you may be dealing with clear coat hazing or etching, possibly from improper products used in the past, sun exposure, or even chemical staining. The fact that Meguiar’s Ultimate Polish improved it slightly suggests it’s not a fully failed clear coat but more of a surface-level...
A dual action polisher machine is a great DIY friendly machine for helping maintain your vehicle's paint, even if only using to apply a coat of wax....
Welcome! Our Ultimate Wax & Hybrid Ceramic Wax are both great options and also our "latest and greatest" traditional liquid waxes. Ultimate Wax in short provides the "best of both worlds" in a wax we have, gloss and durability, where our Hybrid Ceramic Wax primarily focuses...
Welcome to Meguiars online! My favorite wax is Meguiars Ultimate Liquid Wax. Great durability, awesome gloss and it doesn’t stain black trim. Plus you get an applicator and microfiber towel included. Great quality and value. The hybrid liquid ceramic wax is great too....
Ceramic wax typically lasts between 6 to 12 months, depending on the product quality, application method, and environmental conditions. Unlike traditional waxes, ceramic wax is infused with ceramic properties that enhance durability and hydrophobic effects.
We do not have another product at this time which would come close to M305 Ultra Durable Finishing Glaze. Any polish like #7 Show Car Glaze or #80 Speed Glaze in the past, as you mentioned, what was happening, is those products leave behind polishing oils which naturally provide minimal protection,...
Fleet finishes like Sikkens BT are designed for durability, so they can be harder than standard automotive clear coats. Your approach with M105 and a maroon pad is a solid start for correction, but if the scratches are deep, you may need a more aggressive wool pad or even Meguiar’s M100 for extra...
Hello fellow Meguiars users. Has anyone had experience working with Fleet Finishes like Sikkens BT or Imron Elite b/c. I have a couple of scratches to buff out of our E-1 rescue truck finished with Sikkens BT. I was thinking M105 and possibly a maroon pad due to hardness of the finish then stepping...
If I'm remembering correctly, #80 Speed Glaze was similar in that it could be applied to fresh paint and leave some protection while allowing the paint to breathe/cure. Since that product is gone, and with M305 being phased out, is there another Meguiar's product that will perform that function?
