Ultimate Iron Remover safe on ceramic coating?
Hi all, is the Ultimate Iron Remover safe to use on a ceramic coated car?
Thanks
-
You’re good to go with Ultimate Iron Remover on ceramic-coated surfaces as long as the coating was properly cured. What you’re targeting here is embedded contamination that a regular wash won’t remove, and iron removers do a great job of pulling that out without stripping protection....

Is D1801 the bulk version of Ultimate Wheel Cleaner? If not how does it compair to it?...

Yes, D1801 can be used for this purpose discussed above also. D1801 is a significant step stronger and is also more suitable for both paint and wheels. It has a pH balanced degreaser package in the formula which will help with wheel cleaning and makes it more aggressive in general....

Thanks! How about the D1801 Wheel & Paint Iron DECON, is it safe on ceramic coating as well? What are the differences between the Iron Decon and Ultimate Iron Remover?

I would focus on the prep work of the paint prior to applying a coat of wax, as this is going to make the most noticeable difference in the gloss, i.e. ensuring it is polished, especially polishing with a finishing polish like our M200 PRO Speed Polish and a D/A Polisher would be ideal. Not sure if...

Is this something that's doable? or mixing...

Hi kkren28,
Yes, Ultimate Iron Remover can absolutely be used on a ceramic coated car, especially if the goal is to potentially help "unclog" the coating, from contamination that may be present on top, affecting the water beading performance of your ceramic coating.

This is a common problem but fortunately it’s fixable. Start by thoroughly cleaning the windows with an ammonia-based glass cleaner. If the haze persists, a clay bar treatment can be a great option, as it’ll remove the stubborn film RainX leaves behind. Be sure to follow up with a good glass...

Help-How to get rid of an application of Rainx window cleaner?
I did something that I somewhat knew would turn out bad but I did it anyway...I decided to clean the exterior side of the windows on my 2022 Highlander using Rainx Glass Cleaner. The result is the dreaded 'Rainx Haze' accompanied by the 'Rainx Whiteout' - the windshield glare that happens when opposing...

Hi for some reason many people try to mix and come up with some secret combination which they find works for them, but we would not suggest it. Not necessarily going to hurt anything but not going to deliver best results in our opinion....

Your BMW’s clear coat will definitely benefit from a ceramic coating, especially if you’re looking to cut down on frequent reapplications and maintain long-term gloss and protection. That said, applying a wax or glaze over a ceramic layer doesn’t do much and can sometimes cause streaking...
