      Vaseline as a polish: some guy I knew told me that back in the 80s.

      Said to use it on old lacquer or enamel that was too far gone to compound

      He also liked it on flat black trim and vinyl tops.

      Thanks for the memories

      Should mention, I never did try it. Honestly!
