    Glad someone mentioned this product.

I actually like it better than NXT/M21 as a stand alone LSP.

      Re: What's the best AIO?

So, after doing a lot of reading the past few days, as well as talking to some fellow detailers with whose opinions I hold in high regard, I am going to give it a go with D151 first and see what happens. It appears that each company's AIO is unique in some way, but in the end, are fairly similar. Some may last a bit longer than others, while some correct a bit more than others. I am going to be getting 8 oz. of M20 (I think), and may put that on top of D151. Worst case, I have two other products in mind that I will try. Either way, I can't do too much ATM because it is supposed to start pouring again this afternoon. Maybe I'll get some snow for the 3rd weekend in a row!

Thank you all very much for your input and suggestions!

          Re: What's the best AIO?

          Just to bump this...

It was sunny and in the high 60°'s today soooo...I washed the Roush with Gold Class and then went to town with the G100, an 8006 pad and D151 on speed 5. It was SOOOO nice to get it all cleaned up! I'm pretty impressed, and very happy with my choice, if the small section I managed to catch in the waning sun today is what the rest looks like. If so, D151 after being worked in very well on each panel, took out the majority of the swirls on the panels. Not perfect, but a great improvement! The only "bummer" was the back of the car was in the shade (cooler than the rest that had some sun on it), so the wax started smearing during removal. I plan on going over the car with another coat of something soon just 'cuz. Spends most of the time just sitting in the rain right now anyways. so I'm sure it will be fine. A lot better than it was; haven't had time to wax it in...a year and a half-ish? Eeeek, I know. Don't worry, it looks very respectable now!

          Thanks Meguiar's and D151!

            Re: What's the best AIO?

Glad to see it was working well for you Tyler. D151 is a great choice because of its flexibility of application. You can use it simply as just a polish (even on a rotary) or you can go light with it and use it just like a wax. It really is an AIO as opposed to just a cleaner wax, which makes it a great product!

I once put swirls in my paint just to see what it looked like.

            I don't always detail cars, but when I do, I prefer Meguiar's.
            Remove swirls my friends.

Welcome to D151 Fan Club, Tyler.

I'm glad you liked Paint Reconditioning Cream. It's a fantastic product. When I used it for the first time I was really positively surprised. This thing can cut without sacrificing the gloss.

Yes, yes! I used it by hand one time, and well, it did what it needed to do. This time by machine however...I am impressed! I had even considered picking up a new bottle of ColorX. I'm glad I didn't waste the money since I already had such a great product! I still wouldn't mind finding a sample of M20 somewhere to use as a maintenance wax now though. Lord knows I've got enough full bottles around the house, lol.

                  Re: What's the best AIO?

D151 is way more aggressive than ColorX. But sometimes you need a mild product, like ColorX, if you deal with delicate paint or do a clean up after aggressive liquid.

M20 Polymer Sealant has very light cleaning ability but leaves surface pretty glossy. As I remember correctly Mike Stoops likes it very much (I'm sure he's not alone on that).

                    Re: What's the best AIO?

It is. I just underestimated it, until I used it via the PC! The car, though now covered in dust and dew "water spots," looks incredible and the swirls have in fact been reduced dramatically. I do need to switch to a more mild product for my single stage paint truck, as I have begun to buff the paint off of it. It was repainted at one point many years ago before we bought it, so I don't know how thick it actually was after the repaint. I do know the paint is quite soft compared to the other cars I have as well.

Those are two reasons I want some M20. It can help clean the surface a bit to promote proper adhesion and bonding, and looks great!
