  • What's the best AIO?

Why is this here? I put this in the break room since I'm pretty much open to just about anything, not specifically Meguiar's. Odd to ask this question on a Meguiar's site, I know, but there is so much experience and knowledge here as well as people having used all sorts of products, it seems like it would be a waste not to inquire on MOL. If it needs to be moved, so be it. This just seemed to be the best place. Anyways......

The Mustang has fallen onto the backburner with me being so busy anymore. I have not waxed it in...at least a year and a half? I know...

I've got Meguiar's A12 and PRC, but I was wondering if there was something better to use? The car ends up just sitting most of the time. It gets washed every now and then since it doesn't get anything but dusty really from sitting and people flying by on the road.

Maybe hit it up with some M66 or D151 on a PC.

Had M66 and have D151. I'm just curious about all options. If I don't find anything else, it'll be D151.

I have not tried any of the following products, but based on what I have read on various forums, here are the non-Meguiar's AIOs that folks think most highly of:

            Duragloss 501
            Klasse AIO
            Werkstatt Prime; Werkstatt Prime: Strong
            Zaino AIO
            Optimum Poli-Seal
            Finish Kare 215

Perhaps I've forgotten one or two, but I think I've remembered the top ones. But if you need corrective swirl-removing capability, my guess is that Megs' D-151 will perform better for you.

DG 501 and KAIO are especially both known both for their chemical cleaning power and for their sealant durability. Ditto for Werkstatt Prime, as it appears to be a tweaked formulation of KAIO.

But all this is hearsay. I have not tried these products. I'm still working my way through my bottle of M20.

I'm not so much as worried about the swirls as I am just having the paint clean and protected. Swirls are going to be a part of this cars life for now. I've come to face this fact for now...until I get a garage. It sits outside 24/7 with all sorts of things around (rain, snow, sun, hail, trees, bugs, animals, other cars and so on) If it does something with the swirls when I use it, all the better. I've taken note of a couple on the list.

The Neon has been rocking A12 for a bit now.

Hey Tyler, I like #151. In imho it seems to last. Does a good job removing scratches also. I have not tried any competitors aio. Just like the prc a lot.

My favorite is PRC D-151. It performs really well with any polisher.

If you use aggressive buffing pad and high machine speed it can really remove some serious defects. On finishing pad it will give maximum gloss and protection.

Sometimes I use it with Meg's yellow pad as step 1 for paint correction and then follow up with Meg's black pad as step 2 for finishing.

In your case for oxidation removal and gloss restoration it would be a good choice for sure.

I need to correct what I wrote above. KAIO is not known for its durability--I think I was thinking of Klasse sealant. But DG 501 is reputed to enjoy very good durability and is often used as a stand-alone protectant.

I was just taking a peek at Poli-Seal, and looked at PwS as well...
Both have some correction or filling ability (not sure what has which or if they have one but not the other), which would be a nice bonus over the Duragloss 501.

I'm throwing M20 into the ring as my favorite. It has some correcting ability and leaves a great finish behind. Won't last you 18 months, but it will get you by for 3-4 months pretty easily.

That is another I have been strongly considering as well. I've always heard great things about M20!

D151 is my "god sauce" but I never just use it. I always apply NXT and M26 after on my car.

What pad are you using to apply it with?
