      Wow, that looks cool!

So the snakeskin - does that go on before or after the blue base coat? Is it like a wrap/film?

We can go out for a drive without her makeup and she looks fine. If I want to take the black one out, it is three or four hours in the "bathroom" to get ready.

Thanks! The base coat is applied first. You can see the process here:

It's a very cool process and it produced flawless results if done right. Have a couple larger things to dip tomorrow once I get them in base coat. Should have everything done by tomorrow night if I can get everything cleared quick enough so it has time to set up.

So is this a service that you might be offering as you move forward? Mail parts in, you dip them, mail back sort of thing? Those look really good...

Andrew, where did you purchase the equipment to do this at home? I did a quick search and only came up with companies providing the service, but no equipment.

Yes, I do plan to offer this as a side business in the future. Right now I have limited space and no real dedicated paint booth.

You have to contact companies who offer the service as many of them sell the equipment.

Will do Didn't get anything done today like I planned due to have strep throat. Hopefully It's put back together by next friday. Right now my whole interior is stripped down as I'm re-doing it all. Other project is a custom sub box and center console that will also have some snake skin acents on them.

How durable is the finish? Does the clear coat add durability or is it more for a gloss finish? What patterns are available? What type of prep has to be done before dipping? Thanks, Andrew.
