I once put swirls in my paint just to see what it looked like. I don't always detail cars, but when I do, I prefer Meguiar's.
Remove swirls my friends.
I thought Mystery Machine when I first seen it as well. I've seen the Mystery Machine done time and time again, but never well. I'm sure whatever Joe decides to do it will be done well.
I guess the biggest deciding factor is if it was put together properly when it was shortened. It looks like you can see rust at the seam in the photo, so up close it's likely scary.
Obviously someone else thought this was a cool project but they never went through with it. Sometimes these things are better left alone. It's easier and cheap to start your own rather than deal with someones hack job.
My wife, being the sensible one, talked some sense into me. I have an unfinished 1957 Chevrolet 210. She suggested I finish the 57 first before I move on to another project.
