I can answer that one - no. The OP must have mistyped the code.

A common mistake that people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools.

How to troubleshoot and repair a p0607 code which refers to the Control Module Performance. Also includes links to relevant forum topics on the code.

Re: Please help me! Car died!!!

the dealership reset the codes today. i had to pay $115. FML. I got home and removed my HID Headlighs....put in normal halogens and had not issues....so the question is...are the hids pulling too much power or is the ballast interfering with the computer? (the ballast was mounted on top of the ecm)...is it possible for there to be interference???

For future reference, unhooking the negative battery cable for 30 seconds will reset the ECU.

As far as why your ECU threw a code, it's hard to say over the internet. There is a good possiblity your battery is not powerful enough.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and speculate that if you replaced your battery, the problem would go away. When/if you replace your battery, I would get the best battery you can find for this car, seeing as you have aftermarket electronics installed. I would definately go with a battery that has more CCA (cold cranking amps) than what the vehicle comes with.

            Good luck

Let us know when you get it sorted.

yea. thanks for the computer tip and i got the battery tested and its fine...supposedly? And after removing the HID headlights i have no issues. So nxt week when i get back from vacation im gonna relocate the ballast away from the computer because i was told it can cause interference with the computer...if i relocate it away from the electronics and it still does it, then ill just deal with halogens until i can find a fix. it looks stupid tho because i have yellow headlights and whiteish/blueish fog lights....

Re: Please help me! Car died!!!

The ballast may be overheating the ECU if it is mounted on top of it.

I wouldn't mount anything on top of the computer. That has "PROBLEM" written all over it, to begin with.
