Gotta' love "Orange peel". No, I haven't been sniffing the #16 again.
I had about $1000 hail damage done to my 2007 Ram. I could find about twenty small dings. I asked the owner of the shop who is PDR expert himself "what was up". His response.... there are a lot of small dings that I simply could not see without the "magic lights" that the PDR folks use.
He also pointed out that "orange peel" is a PDR tech's "friend". "Orange peel" masks the many of dings super well. PDR techs especially like working on Chrysler products. I for sure know why after owning two of them. But, my wife's Tacoma has a good bit of "orange peel" too.
So guys if you live a hail zone, be grateful for a bit of "orange peel".
Tom
p.s. They have about 8-12 hours work to get the dings out of my truck. Guess there were more than twenty
