I was just in LA staying right by LAX on Tues/Wed this week. I delivered a speech at the Ritz in Marina Del Ray mid-day on Wed for Ford at a summit, and MapQuest told me it would take 13 minutes to travel from my hotel to the Ritz.

Yeah... it took me 1 hour and 45 minutes. Good thing I left 2.5 hours early just in case!

I pity anyone that lives in LA... I just don't know how you guys survive.

An hour and 45 from LAX to MDR????? My sister used to live in MDR and I made the drive from Irvine regularly in just a tick over an hour. Considering that LAX is practically right next to the Marina, something really nasty must have happened to snarl traffic.

You didn't happen to drive by a female celebrity with a broken heel on her Jimmy Choo's, did you - 'cause that'll stop traffic for sure. Come to think of it, it couldn't have been that drastic a problem or it would have taken you three hours to get there.

Maybe even more unfortunate is that Mike Pennington will be on vacation and yours truly will be in Michigan for a combination short vacation/business trip combo so we'd both miss you anyway.

          Talk about lousy timing!!

Sorry to go off topic, but are you holding a class in Michigan???

I heard after the fact that there was an accident involving the 405 and the entire freeway was shut down, flooding the side roads I took. My luck...

Way off topic, and not in LA, but did anyone else see or hear about a few weeks ago when the fuel tanker truck flipped on the 91 and they had to let it just burn itself up. It melted the freeway, literally!

I once put swirls in my paint just to see what it looked like.

              I don't always detail cars, but when I do, I prefer Meguiar's.
              Remove swirls my friends.
