    Re: Any cops on here...?

    I just don't understand it.

So is Georgia's only requirement to get an emergency light permit is you must have a face? Are they just handing these things out?

I laugh at cars like that and shake my head as I drive by.
i too don't see the need for the strobes. but i do have an import, big exhaust but believe me, it doesn't sound like a weed wacker. see sometimes(especially in 4 cylinders)there is so much restriction from the factory that it takes a big exhaust, cold air intake, turbo, supercharger to get the most whp from the vehicle. so yes i do laugh also at these civics with altezza tails and a huge fart can. all that is rice. but the way i built my car was performance. factory i was at 187whp, currently after exhaust, headers and turbo with standalone ems i dyno'd at 387whp. this all from a 2100lb car. you do the math.

back on topic. save your money and build your car tasteful, not tasteless. nonetheless, good luck in your ventures.

Guys, please remember the forum rules and how we like to act on MOL.

If you don't agree with what someone chooses to do with their vehicle, just simply move on to the next thread. If you can help or want to share, then post away.

No need to ridicule others for their personal choices.

            Thanks.

should be able to wire into any positive source, ground out to your frame and then run to a toggle switch. your main should run to the battery and so on. basic electronic circuit. shouldn't be that hard.

Or perhaps find a strobe lighting forum? Make sure there are no cops in there!!!

I would like to know how your car is an emergency vehicle. Did you lie to the state or what. If you are not police, fire dept., ambulance, paper delivery, road commision, garbage truck and so on how do they consider you an emergency vehicle? Just curious

You will most likely get better anwsers there anyway.

I'm going to go against the grain here and say that you should do whatever makes you happy. As long as you are following the legal parameters, which it certainly sounds like you are, go ahead and enjoy the lights. Have fun and above all be safe.

BTW... post a video of them when you're done.
