So i had Silverstar Ultras and i hated them...i guess they were supposed to look like 4300 k but never did. THEY WERE $50!! and they sucked! So i finally got around to getting some hids. I ordered from a place called DDM Tuning. I ordered 8K 55w low only hids. They were $57 shipped!!! THey are great and they come with a LIFETIME warrenty..One thing that kinda ***** is there shipping...it took 12 days and they were in stock...other than that it was the best $57 ive ever spent!!! heres some pics...I be getting a matchin set for my fogs soon...

Not really a big fan of the glare but I'm glad it got to you alright. Sometimes they mess up the orders on accident haha

Good thing you don't live in Ohio, cops will pull your *** over in a heart beat for having those HID's in a non-HID fitted car. Love the intensity though.
        Fergy-

You're only as good as your last detail

Not if you have one of those "blue line" license plates!

I've got a spare keyboard lying around here if you need it. I'm assuming yours has a couple broken keys?

                    Re: My new hids!!! yay!!

Well, to give you an idea, I put HIDs into my 2010 Camry and covered the squirrel spotters to ensure I don't put out too much excess glare. The only glare I have is from the bottom of the chrome housing but I was going to do a real projector retrofit once I get the money. Otherwise I'd paint it black so it doesn't reflect at all. Here is my projector cutoff in a non-HID housing with steps taken to ensure no excess glare. Picture was taken at a crappy distance since it was a quick shot at like 3am in the morning...

Well.. there really isn't a cut-off.. and there is a lot of glare.

But, as long as you're happy with them.

Glad you liked the HID's. 8k is a little too blue for my taste (I like 6k), but as long as you like them. Personally, I think the glare thing is overblown. I changed my wife's 07' Accord to 6k HID's (and on my 96' Prelude VTEC) and we have yet to get flashed from anybody. I also personally think the police don't really want to bother hassling people with retro HID's because there are so many here in FL. Last thing they need is more work trying to figure out which cars have OEM HID's and which ones don't.

Have you thought about changing your foglights to HID's? I switched the fogs on my 08' IS350 to HID's (ROYAL PITA! I had to take off the front bumper!)and they looks so cool! Made all the work I put in so worth it!
Too much of a good thing is even better!
