As we continue moving toward the full launch of Wraptivo Designer Car Wraps we had the chance to do some installation and testing the other day and thought we'd share the results with you.
For those who don't know about Wraptivo yet, this is a vinyl wrap that is available as either a textured material, which we used in these cases, or custom printed and cut for your specific car. The custom print is a ways off yet but when launched you will even be able to upload your own artwork and have your car wrapped in high gloss vinyl using any graphic design you wish!
For these vehicles we used either the carbon fiber or brushed titanium material, staring with a Graphite Metallic PT Cruiser Turbo and the brushed titanium.
Yes, this is open flame used to heat and lightly stretch the material. According to the installer, amateurs use heat guns, pros use a torch.
Took a couple of shots in the driveway at home after washing the car:
And a closeup of the material itself.
We then moved on to the roof of a BMW M3 Coupe, which received the carbon fiber treatment. The current M3 comes from the factory with a genuine carbon fiber roof, unless you order the sunroof, which this car has.
Again, a close up of the material.
Next up, a Jeep Cherokee SRT8 and things got a bit more creative!

There's that torch again!!
