That's my sense too, replacing shiny paint with a vinyl kind of thing. The graphic ones on the web page looked kind of cool.

Maybe the top of my explorer since it is so hard to wash and wax, especially with the roof rack there, and you can't see it anyway. And I think the paint up there is thin too. The 2 gutters along the sides, the water must have pooled in them, and some of the paint came off and there was some rust. Again, who knew, since you don't see it unless you stand on something.

No company and no product is ever intended to be sold to every single person. Of course something like this won't appeal to all, but it is still a fantastic solution for a lot of people.

Sometimes stepping out and doing something different than traditional 100% gloss paint can add a nice, creative touch.

I couldn't disagree more. It is a free country, do what you like.

          Just say'n I don't like it.

If you were a chef and you cooked a wonderful meal using all high quality fresh ingredients....... how would you feel about people drenching your food in ketchup?

I don't even wrap Christmas presents.

It simply looks like someone slapped a sticker on the hood of a perfectly shined finish.

I do understand for mirrors, spoilers, etc. But I don't know yet

You are right though, it is a free country, and people are free to buy what they want... which is why Meguiar's offers such a wide variety of products.

Wraptivo isn't replacing anything - don't worry Joe! This is simply IN ADDITION to what they have, and it will be attractive to *some* people - just not you

                I like them.

But how hard are they going to be to install?

Can the average person do it, or should you have a professional install them?

We highly recommend professional installation of these wraps. As time goes on we will be building a nationwide network of recommended installers, but that is still a little ways off.

If they come out with a B-17 wrap I think it would be safe to assume it's a conspiracy and they're targeting YOU!

For these specific textured wraps we are still doing some testing. The custom printed vinyl will last several years, but exposure will play a big role, of course.

Pricing is going to be somewhat dependent on what the various installers will charge, which will likely vary regionally, but pricing on the film itself is not set yet. But yes, you could create a custom piece to place on the side of a vehicle, even die cutting it to a specific shape, and remove it later for sale, change of number, or just because you want to change the look.

We love paint, too. And shine. But for those who want a custom touch or a full custom look, this can be a great option. For someone who wants to experiment a bit with different looks, this is almost impossible to beat from a pricing standpoint. No, pricing isn't set at this time, but it will be a whole lot cheaper than a custom paint job and then a return to stock.

No worries, it's obviously just not something for you, and that's fine. Customizing one's vehicle, no matter how small or large the customization, is a very personal thing.
