    Re: Premium micro-fiber towels

Hard to find good mfs in stores around here. Most of the stores sells those low quality MFs and prices are quite high for that kind of quality.

So, I made Rick@ADS a happy man; great deal on those 25% promo.

I have been using them on my paint with no issues of marring. Wal-mart also has the blue and white microfibers, 8 for 5 bucks, and I use them for windows and door jambs. There not that bad and I have not had any marring issues with these either.
I've been using the blue/white ones
      I like them better
I cant stand big plushy ones
as they attract and store lint on them.
and when i fold them to wipe stuff off, they just unfold anyways since they're too big.

and i think the brand is Microtex

          Re: Premium micro-fiber towels

Just to post back on the viking supreme micro-fiber towels, they was great for removing last touch after claying and didn't have any problems.

Also used for removing M86 solo cut & polish cream and nxt 2.0.

They felt great on the surface and feel about the same as the meguiars supreme shine but the vikings are just alittle thicker then the meguiars towels.

Went back today and picked up 2 more packs and already washed, dried and stored in the containers.

One more thing, not going to use these either for door jams bought a 12 pack of the cheaper viking micro-fibers for the door jams.LOL!

Did take a pic of the meguiars supreme shine and viking supreme micro-fiber towels side by side for a comparison but forgot to upload the pic until now but will up load and put on here if any one is interested.

Good to hear. Viking make some really nice microfiber towels and IMO are every bit as good as the more expensive boutique brands.

Thought I would post up this pic of the difference between the supreme shine and the viking supreme micro-fibers.

Meguiars supreme shine on the left and viking on the right

Also notice the little brush I placed in front of the micro-fibers, Bought this awhile back in a hobby/RC store I believe and forgot about it until the other day when I found another container I had with the brush and springs for my kids power wheels switches.

It's great for removing old dried wax from trim and inbetween rubber molding. Just thought I'd share this little brush I found.

I guess the newness as wore off because I've been noticing that I've been using my meguiars supreme shine more often then the viking's supreme's. LOL!

I have a bunch of MF's from Wal Mart. The brand is Microtex by Calderon Textiles. I have collected a boat load of the blue & white (8 pack) MF's over the last 2-3 years. They are not the plushest MF's, but the quality is great, and they do a good job! I also have the plush MF's (2 pack yellow) which I like for final wiping/polishing, which used to be blue about a year ago. The quality is great, and so is the price.

The Wal Mart in Rohnert Park (North Bay) has an item called "Bag of rags", which are actually MF's. They come 12 to a bag for $5 bucks. On the package, it says that there are small defects. These defects do not alter the performance one bit. I bought numerous packages of these over the past 2-3 years, as I figured they may change their minds about carrying them someday. I essentially sifted through the packages until I found ones that were 1/2 white, & 1/2 blue. These are very simular to the 8 packs of the blue & white ones, but with very minor defects that do not pose any dangers, & most of them are perfect.

I also have various plush (boutique) MF's from various vendors/manufacturers. The plush MF's from Wal Mart, I think, are very good quality, & for the price, it's really hard to beat. That's why I have collected a boat load of them over the last several years just in case someone up in corporate changes their mind or something

You let the cat out of the bag.
