Yeah let's bring this back on track. A year or so ago when I started watching these shows regularly, I loved Colbert and didn't like Steward as much. But now after having been watching both shows for a while, Colbert's jokes got old... They're all "I'm rich and I'm fine, forget about the poor" and it got old after a while.

They're both Democrats, but I'm sure that neither of them carry blue voter cards. They may tend to align themselves more with the Donkey side, but if the Elephants came up with a good idea I'm sure they'd back it.

    I agree.

Although Stewart is clearly more passionate about political issues than Colbert, he is being overshadowed by his ex-correspondent.

I think Stewart is more or less as he appears and not just a teleprompter reader.

Stewart is clearly, without a doubt, a democrat.

Stephen Colbert is a democrat, pretending to be an ignorant republican mocking the democrats, making fun of the republicans.

From time to time, Stephen appears to associate himself with certain republican elites to gain popularity and to discreetly spread his liberalism to the republicans.

    Question about Colbert/Stewart

No need to get into a big political argument over here, just one simple question: are Stephen Colbert and Jon Stewart both democrats?
