So I was reading something on a forum the other day that really makes sense and I thought I would share it.
It was about posting what modifications you've done to your car and such. People have gotten parts stolen off their car because they post information and or pictures of what they've done to their cars.
People then use those pictures to find out where you live and steal everything. The best defense is to block out your license plate and not to take pictures of your car at your house. Even if you crop it, people that know the area will find out where you live.
Also another thing is to always know who is installing stuff on to your car and never give them too much information. If you give them your address they can sell that information to somebody and tell that person exactly how they installed something so the robber can quickly take it off. Installers need nothing more than your first name and a phone number to call you at. Take your plates with you.
Never put branded stickers on your car, that screams "I have this part installed, come steal it."
I know this sounds like too much but its the truth, people are going to steal from you.
Yes I know I'm guilty of this too and am stopping it.
